SAN DIEGO (AP) -- A former Navy operations specialist is organizing what is believed to be the nation's first military contingent of active-duty troops and veterans to lead a gay pride parade.
Sean Sala says the group will march Saturday in San Diego's parade, the nation's fifth largest.

As a 28-year AF retiree, this still gets deep under my craw. The Chiefs of Staff, with the exception of the CNO, were against DADT repeal... but they didn`t even provide even a token rebuttal. And as for those craven GOP senaturds who could`ve stopped it in their tracks.. I`ll NEVER forgive their act of surrender on the altar of political correctness.

After reading this story, is there any doubt that China is going to rachet up hostilites toward the US in the next 15-20 years? Look at what we have become?
They own all of our finances, and now our new 'poofter' armed forces are going to be sashaying down Main Street in Gay Pride parades.
I have to say, I don't think that we are instilling confidence, or fear, for that matter, anywhere in the world.

Were I still in the Army, I’d accept an Article 15 rather than march in this crap.
It is a large parade that draws many non-gay observers. It has long had firefighters and police personnel as participants so it may as well have the military. I don’t think any of the aforementioned will be wearing chaps with the rear end cut away, a favorite apparel of paraders and gay onlookers.
