It's like tennis, you can have a lazy set of mixed doubles, or Wimbledon.
A fox hunt where the hounds find 3-4 times, or a three-day event, calls for stamina, athletic ability, and skill. You might make it through a walking trail ride on an old fat grade horse, but not either of those.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing at all against horses, they’re much better than cats.
For me, an athlete is a person, period. Horses have no free will when it comes to sports, and whips or spurs are often needed to “persuade” a horse to do what is required.
