If 10% of this country is gay, then 25% of NYC and over 50% of San Francisco would have to be gay just for the national average to work and for those to be any kind of gay mecca.

This story really pisses me off. I don’t care that much about gay issues one way or the other.
But scientific or psychologcal theories shouldnt be attacked for political reasons. Paul Begala knows absolutely nothing about gays and whether anyone benefits from the thereapy under discussion, yet he will call people “haters” for no good reason.
I guess every gay person must now remain gay, even if they express an interest in changing, that isnt allowed.
But if a straight perso wants to go gay,I’m sure that’s just fine.

Homosexuality is a choice and often gays are victims of child abuse.
The Census has consistently recorded the gay population as 1-2% in rural areas and 2-3% in urban areas. Hollywood and the statist news organizations seem to claim anywhere from 10-25% based on comments like Begala or the average number of gays that one will see in an average movie. This is nothing more than projection of their life onto the rest of us. Unfortunately, they have succeeded in convincing the average Joe (that doesn’t really pay much attention to anything) that the gay population is huge, when it is not. From a biological perspective, any species that has a substantial portion that does not reproduce because of sexual preference would be short lived. But why let facts get in the way, when it is so easy to make stuff up in modern times.
Among other findings, Kinsey concluded that 85% of American men had intercourse before marriage, 30-45% had extramarital relations, 70% had sex with prostitutes, as many as 37% had engaged in homosexual acts and 10% were exclusively
homosexual. From the latter comes the myth, endlessly repeated by the gay lobby, that one in 10 Americans is a homosexual. (The figure is actually closer to 1 to 2%.)
Kinsey’s method was to science what rape is to romance. The University of Indiana academician set out to validate certain conclusions, and rigged the evidence to prove his case.
For instance, when he couldn’t get enough married women to talk about their sex lives, he redefined “married woman” as living with a man for more than a year.
Prostitutes were also included in his study of female sexuality – a fact Kinsey failed to disclose in his book.
Similarly, Kinsey’s study of American males included disproportionate numbers of prisoners – especially sex offenders. Again, according to Jones, convicts constituted as much as 25 percent of Kinsey’s subjects.
Jones writes: “In fact, he had devoted much of his time to interviewing members of the underclass, including drug addicts, alcoholics, prostitutes, pimps, gamblers and the
like.”
The sexual revolution was launched with research based on data drawn from the dregs of society.
