It's actually even less. I've read data that say the US adult population is about 1-2% homosexual. At the time many homosexuals were claiming that the adult population was 10% homosexual. This was their way of exaggerating so as to give them the appearance that they have more political power than what they really have.

The homosexuals are much more powerful than their numbers because they have money (not many have children). They give money to politicians in much greater proportions than the average American. They have the film industry in their corner in a very big way. They are in the arts industry in a very big way. In short they have tremendous backing in the MSM and they are far more powerful than their 1-2%.
