Wall Street investing in Romney

Mitt Romney has been raising a lot of money from the financial sector in recent months as he criticizes a historic package of new industry regulations signed by President Obama last year, according to campaign financial reports filed last week.

The largest corporate sources of money for Romney are mostly finance industry leaders , including Morgan Stanley and Bank of America. Goldman Sachs employees have given nearly a quarter of a million dollars in contributions.

Romney led the other Republican presidential contenders on the fundraising front during the second quarter, raising more than $18 million, while none of his competitors crossed the $5 million mark. The keys to his success appear to be large donors and contributors from the New York area.

Nearly three-quarters of Romney’s money came from donors giving the maximum $2,500 contribution, and one in eight of Romney’s donors live in New York City and its suburbs.

Romney’s campaign officials say they see the contributions as a referendum on Obama's handling of the economy.

“To the extent anyone is supporting Mitt Romney over President Obama it is because of the state of the economy and the president’s failure to create jobs,” Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said. “President Obama and his political team have signaled they will spend a billion dollars to hold on to power and, given the nation’s dismal jobs picture, it is understandable why they will need a billion.”

Not unlike the investments made in homosexual marriage law.

Wall Street investing in Romney

And real Americans are investing in anyone but Mitten judging by the latest polls. Bachmann is beating him in Iowa. Just because you have mountains of cash doesn't mean you have a shot to win. Just ask Myth about the last time he ran and blew wads of cash.

Also, how popular is it going to be in a GOP primary to be in Wall Streets back pocket. Romney is a born loser.

After reading this article, I believe Romney is seen as Obama in white face.

What say you, my froggy friend?

How did anyone writing that article, omit the fact, that he has raised LESS money in this cycle (overall) then he had at this point, 4 years ago ?

This is another attempt to Push Romney again, and give him some kind of cloak of inevitability.....

The trading firm MF Global is led by Jon Corzine, the former New Jersey governor, who has raised at least $500,000 for Obama, according to the campaign’s list. A spokeswoman for the company declined to comment.

Yeah, I would decline if I were you.

Wall Street knows that Romney will keep them in the Fed’s pockets.

They both seem to get a lot of their money from the same places. I got no use for Romney or 0bummer.

So Wall Street is hedging it’s bets by running two Obamas ... one for the Dems and one for the GOP.

That is a very interesting fact. Please keep posting that info. One would get the impression that he is the seasoned pro after his try out in '08. I'll bet a lot of money is waiting for Palin, Perry or already in his current opponents pockets.

The white version of the AnointedIdiot.....would not expect less from the very Wall Street that will expect a bailout from Romney as they received from the AnointedIdiot, not to mention that Wall Street was one of the AnointedIdiot’s biggest backers in 2008.... =.=

Of course Wall Street wants Romney elected. Who else will give them both tax cuts (for when their ‘investments’ are good) and TARP like bailouts (for when their ‘investments’ go bad) ??

He is the last thing we need in the WH, and I mean last.

the cronies on wall street exist simply as parasites on the people and provide a farm system to bring up statists to the big leagues (federal government).

anyone sucking from that teat is all the more evil.

this guy is the “front runner?” it’s just stunning.

i’ve made up my mind. i will fight this guy harder than i fought obama. and that is saying something.

if, despite everything, he is still the annointed rino, at least i can ignore that race and put my resources into local/state races.

Yeah, Mitt’s spokesperson shouldn’t really be talking about the amount of money Obama will need. Romney set all-time records with his dollars-to-vote ratio in 2008.

--------------------------

How about we just give him a wave good-bye?

Mitt's 'I was for it but now I'm against it' RomneyCare is a millstone around his neck, it's made him unelectable.

Please choose a better nominee. This guy is a phony.

Mitt Romney

Romneycare = Obamacare which = Big Government
Big Government = End of liberty = End of America
Repeal Obamacare
Repeal Romneycare

Not going to vote for ineligible, backstabbing Romney.

Not now, not in 2012. NOT EVER.
