People will not sign the petition for this because if they do they know the gays will be able to get their names and then harass them.

Referendum supporters would need to gather about 505,000 voter signatures within 90 days to place the issue before voters next year. Good grief this is Kalifornia for cryin' out loud. If the voters get this the courts will only block it.

This is a huge issue if the spineless wimps, er, Republicans want to run with it.
Why do I hear the sound of crickets?

This is good news, and I’m confident that they will be able to obtain these signatures. Good people in California are mortified by this. I imagine at least half of those signatures could be obtain just from the LA metro area churches, which are predominantly minority and hate homosexuality.
Perhaps California could simply be run by referendum going forward.

And to think the Left decried the Texas impact on textbook contents.
This litmus test strikes out Bill Bennett’s books on American history.
The socialist pinklisting of conservative authors has begun.

I think they should just add whole chapters about John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer to satisfy the requirements of the law.

Signature gathering is under attack, not only from the bill on Brown's desk today but also by union thugs intimidating voters, gatherers and a coordinated campaign of fraud.
We're under such an attack in San Diego which is trying to get a pension reform plan, dubbed "CPR", on the ballot.
After an education reform measure, which had more than enough signatures they believed, failed to get on the ballot due to widespread fraud, the Lincoln Club of San Diego doing the pension reformer initiative are paying an outside company to verify every signature ahead of time and referring those signing a half-dozen times or even more often to the DA's office for potential prosecution.
