My Red State Brothers and Sisters if I move to the lovely part of your area, I will not be whiny or complain. Where I do draw the line, when these questions are posed to me: “Girl, you Vietnamese?” or “Do you speak English?”. Have a cool day everyone, it is already 1:00am in the Big Apple and Ninety-Five Hot Degrees of Humidity.

Lots of Vietnamese in TX, LA ... all along the Gulf Coast really.

Good people, hard workers, famiy oriented, don’t cause trouble (I haven’t heard of Vietnamese gangs for example).

I don’t think you’ll find many people in these areas who will question your ability to speak English or orgin.

My Vietnamese wife of 31 years talks so much no one ever asks about the English. If someone asks if she is Korean, she tells them with a smile "No, Vietnamese." and they are off on a 30 minute conversation. I think most people are just curious, and don't mean to offend.
