California referendum launched to halt mandatory ‘gay history’ law

Conservative leaders in California are gathering support for a referendum to block the state’s new law that mandates that history curricula highlight homosexual figures, and that forbids any teaching that reflects negatively upon homosexuality.

Governor Jerry Brown this month signed SB 48, which mandates an emphasis on “lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender” role models in K-12 history and social science textbooks.

In response, the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) with several other pro-family organizations quickly launched a referendum for a SB 48 repeal. Papers have been filed with the California Attorney General’s Office, where officials will craft an official title and summary.

A growing coalition of pro-family leaders across the state are supporting the official campaign at StopSB48.com, according to PJI.

“We have been seeing a groundswell of opposition to the enactment of SB 48, and now it is time to act,” said Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute, in a statement.

The only thing that will really work is for Christian and/or conservative parents to pull their children out of the Government/Socialist/Atheist schools. Their focus is on brain-washing and/or baby-sitting. Education is just an incidental.

Referendums are nice, but just wait until some judge “invalidates” it...

That is the state of our Progressive State - the Gov’t IS Society.

Let me guess. They will get the signatures. Then it will be put on the ballot. Then it will win in the election. And then it will be challenged in court.

And the judge who will be chosen to hear the case will be Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn “What me, gay?” Walker, who will see absolutely no possibility of a conflict of interest before writing another 100+ page decision establishing that forced indoctrination of school children is a “civil right” of homosexuals.

Discrimination is one thing, but what do you call it when students have their limited and precious learning time set aside, to be force fed indoctrination propaganda? In effect, saying that students will no longer have a 5 day school day, but only a 4, 3, or just 2 days a week school day.

Good-I will support it. This is so stupid if you have
made contributions to California or society it should be noted regardless if you are gay so in otherwords the likes of Sheila Kuehl or Tom Amniano are just political hacks
but since they are gay they think they are better hacks than your average hack

These next two to four years are going to be whack-a-mole with the crap the legislative and executive branches are going to enact into law.

Thats why I’m glad my kids are finished with K thru 12 grade school in CA. They should be recalling Brown for signing it.

Walker is gone, retired shortly after his disgusting decision.

But there are plenty more fag judges in the wings to do the deed.
