McCain vs. the Tea Party
New York Times ^

Posted on 07/27/2011 11:53:56 AM PDT by Windy City Conservative

Mr. McCain mocked Tea Party-allied Republicans in the House for believing — wrongly, he said — that President Obama and Democrats will get the blame for a default if Republicans refuse to increase the nation’s debt ceiling. By that flawed logic, “Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced budget amendment and reform entitlements and the Tea Party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth,” he said, quoting a Wall Street Journal editorial. “This is the kind of crack political thinking that turned Sharron Angle and Christine O’Donnell into G.O.P. nominees,” he jeered, referring to two losing Tea Party candidates for the Senate in 2010.

When conservatives objected to Obammy unilaterialy declaring war on Libya in violation of the constituion, he conspired with McBackstabber and his girlfriend, Ms. Graham before doin it. At that time McCain told our representatives to shut up about the constitiution. Obama could do whatever he wanted with the military no matter what the law said.

Now he wants our reps to shut up and let he and Obama do whatever they desires with spending. People elected those “Tea Party” Republicans. They represent more American voters in the Congress than McInsane does. This is the first Rino shot across the bow as Obamma builds up to violating the constitution again. Who needs a Congress when you have McTraitor and Obama in power?

I know, the problem is that the media people are promoting random loonies who proclaim themselves to be the leaders.

This is a serious problem and I honestly don’t know what we can do about it. I went to DC for the first big Tea Party event, and it was truly wonderful, because it was all people who objected to the idea that the American reason for being is to maintain the government. The Government is not what America is all about, and the Tea Party was all about proclaiming this and retaking our private lives and businesses.

That said, I would strongly suspect that some of these “Tea Party leaders” are actually Dem plants.

The only thing missing from this article was the MSM moniker "the MAVERICK JOHN McCAIN" that was bestowed upon him while he was the darling of the media during the primaries and the months leading up to his predicted loss in the 2008 election.........

Funny how the term "MAVERICK" has never been used again since his loss............LOL!

Not third party time. Time to elect real Republicans that bear no resemblance to McCain.

Third party is a death march.

We have approximately 70 Tea Party members in Congress. The total Republican count there is around 240. If that Tea Party count climbs above 120, guess who is in charge.

We are seeing a new party not just being born, but frankly quite close to replacing the Republicans.

I’m not convinced you’re wrong with your comment yet, but our opinions are going to have to change if the Tea Party has one more successful election cycle.

Can’t come soon enough for me. I have been registered as a Republican for over 40 years. I’ve been ready to climb on board a new party for at least 15 years.

I’ve had it with Republican treachery, trashing anyone with a Conservative bone in their body as a malcontent nobody.

F them.

The state level office-holders need to be changed now.

If by some chance Palin does enter the race, she isn’t winning the GOP primaries unless she distances herself from this old fool.

A Facebook posting calling out McCain for mocking her “Mama Grizzlies” would be a good start, IMO, and would impress me.

An open letter to Mr. McCain........

Sir, whatever good you may have done for your country in the past is simply that - the past. You have failed your constituency. You have all but betrayed the nation by accepting a nomination that you quite obviously had no intention of pursuing. You handed the keys to the kingdom to a maniac who openly stated his hateful beliefs and intentions to destroy this nation, all so you could maintain an appearance of “good sportsmanship”. It was not a game, sir. It was not meant to be “played like a gentleman”. It was a battle and you surrendered the field with nary a shot fired. Now my 2 daughters will bear the burden of monstrous debt and face a future far less promising than my past, though I shall work all the harder to compensate for that. Because I look out for those that depend on me. And I don’t quit when the stakes are this high.

You are welcome to your opinions and attempts at dismissive wit, Mister McCain, just as I am welcome to utterly disregard them as the meaningless blather of a man who is part of the problem at worst and a simpering fool at best. The exit is that way. Please see yourself out. Men have work to do..............
