Isn’t it ABOUT TIME to ARM our own troops on their own bases ???
Definitely past time.
After the first Fort Hood attack, the Defense Department drafted rules and regs to disarm the troops anywhere and everywhere in CONUS.
They also have regs that demand troops register their personal weapons, or prohibit same from even having any firearms at all in their own homes off base.
This oddly varies from post to post!
Now, whether or not that still stands, I don’t know.
