Tell me about it, I was literally 15 blocks away, right below Canal street when those towers fell, and people were red-faced-enraged screaming to rebuild the towers, you can even see that in some videos of that day.

6 years it took to build those TWO towers. If it was started even as late as 2005 it would have been done already which would have been a TRUE tribute to the victims and the resilience of the American spirit.

Absolutely not. We should never forget 9/11 and we should never forget the leaders who were strong at the time and in the aftermath. It is just too bad, tragic really, that America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani was trashed so badly on this forum 4 years ago that many of the best FReepers left, many to never return. National security for a strong America is the absolute top priority in my mind.
Having said that, I hear your outrage at the pitiful, insulting, so-called memorial to that horrific attack on our country and I agree it all amounts to an al Qaeda victory, especially since a U.S. president named Hussein will be using the 10th anniversary as yet another campaign event for himself.
