We bring you this special announcement courtesy of the White House which has informed that American plebs that following a fantastic job well done, in which the market is now back to pre-QE2 levels, unemployment is near record highs, delays for presidential press meetings compare with Newark airplane take offs, pessimism is at record highs, America's credit rating has just been downgraded, the country was nearly bankrupted, and sales of end of the world provisions are through the roof (not to mention ammunition), president Obama is taking a well-deserved vacation at Martha's Vineyard at the end of the month.
From Bloomberg: "President Barack Obama will vacation with his family in Martha's Vineyard at the end of this month as he's done in years past, the White House said Wednesday, despite the weak economy and negotiations on the nation's debt problem.
Press secretary Jay Carney defended Obama's plans to take a break even as he's pledged urgent action on those issues. "I don't think Americans out there would begrudge that notion that the president would spend some time with his family," Carney said." Spot on, Jay, spot on.
"Carney added that there's really no such thing as a presidential vacation since Obama will travel with his aides, receive regular briefings on national security and the economy and be able to return to Washington if necessary. "The presidency travels with you. He will be in constant communication," Carney said at the White House briefing. Last August, the president, Michelle Obama and their two daughters spent 10 days at a rented farm on the wealthy island retreat in Massachusetts.
Our advice: buy ELY stock: with the market about to implode, the president is sure to make at least one company's year.

Obama should vacation in Philly - or maybe Detroit. And he can take Holder with him. Why the hell is he going to Martha’s Vineyard? Is he ashamed of hanging out with black people because the the British riots?
And yet the press was always on W’s vacations AT HIS OWN HOME.
Why doesn’t he go home to Kenya. And stay there.
The media would crucify George Bush for doing this if he were in office now. They'd draw and quarter any Republican President who took a vacation with all this going on. But with their jug-eared jesus in office, the media will tout it as "well-deserved". For what? The country is falling apart and the world is burning down, and that "deserves" a vacation? Nero would be proud.
Someone should ask him when he plans on resigning. If he had an ounce of intelligence or compassion he’d let someone with some brains run this outfit.
Blacks have been visiting Martha's Vineyard for generations. Oak Bluffs is their town of choice.

As I have often said, we could just pull up the gangplanks, and shut down the airport. Kind of our own Elba.
Why can’t he vacation in a town run by black democrats with a majority of black residents? Really, is he ashamed of his own people and their accomplishments? Really, why? Aren’t there beautiful vacation spots BUILT by blacks? There must be many - can you name some...

Of course, why did I not think of that. Think of all the work he can get done on the Helicopter flying to Airforce One. And then on Air force One flying to Martha's Vineyard.
And then how much he can get done on the beach, at all of the parties and on the golf course.
And of course he might as well be eating Wagu beef, lobster tail, caviar and truffles because when you pay a staff of 5 star chefs to be at your beck and call 24/7 does the cost of the uncooked food really make a difference anyway.
Same goes for the booze. You might as well buy vintage wine and 30 year Scotch since you are paying so much for the Chefs anyway.
The guy is working so hard on our behalf doing such important things with so many important people, how can we begrudge Obama and his family a little down time and some of the finer things in life anyway.
Such is leadership by example as the world economy melts down and people are rioting in the streets.

Because he didn't know how to golf, he didn't have lobster tail and Wagu Beef, he didn't have a personal helicopter and 747 to jet around in, he didn't have a bunch of NBA stars, rap musicians, and Hollywood celebs to party with and because eh only had a city and seven hills to burn down and not a whole country.
I’m all for Barkey spending full time with his family.
We need the Tea Party to go up to Martha's Vineyard and drag him and Moochie's shiftless asses back to DC. They don't deserve any more damn vacations!
