Regardless of what happens, it will end up at the SCOTUS and it will all eventually depend on ONE MAN and which side of the bed he wakes up in (Justice Kennedy).

I’ll wait until I hear what the details are. Somehow this may not be the great news I want to hear.

....What a plus. Instead, we'll have socialized medicine paid for with Zimbabwe-Ogabe dollars.

Thanks. This ruling is not particularly good news.

Yes and no. Without the individual health care mandate, how is government mandated health care going to be financed? I’m hoping the beast starves.

More legislating from the bench, I see... pulling new contract law out of thin air. Presto!

The healthcare law was the wrong way to go, IMO (too socialist). But on the bright side, it will break one of the outrageous and unnatural cost supports for overpriced medical care (group insurance rackets similar to socialism). Then, to bust the new government support for that, possible at the end of the default process. Starve the beast!

The appeals court is WRONG!

The bill was specifically crafted to be inseverable!

This is NOT great news. This was expected, and indeed part of the overall socialist plan.

There was no way the individual purchase mandate was going to be upheld as constitutional. That was the plan all along.

Now the Democrats can come back and say “see, the only way to universal health care is to impose a health care tax on everybody, and become a government run single payer system.”

It is more important than ever that we fight to make sure the Democrats never get both houses and the presidency again, or else they will shove the above on a midnight Saturday vote upon us all, like they did with Obamacare.

The exemption will break one of the outrageous and unnatural cost supports, I meant to say. Among lobbyists in favor of the bill were some of the insurance companies, hospital administrators, nurses’ unions, big drug companies and unsuspected others. IMO, the rest of the bill will be tackled by the default process, and eventually, a more closely scrutinized Republican majority Congress (or some post-default nationalist party Congress).

Woah! You mean the judiciary has a line item veto that not even the President has!?! Seriously?

I'm hoping it starves too, or dies some other death. As I understand the ruling, it means that Obamacare still kicks in, but that individuals do not have to purchase health care. This means there will less dollars in the pockets of health care insurance companies. When an uninsured person gets sick, they can still go to the emergency room and get "free" care. I think it means the Obamacare program just got a whole lot more expensive and nothing else.

No it wasn't; absence of a severability clause was an oversight. But oversight or not, it's not in there and therefore the whole thing should stand or fall on the basis of the individual mandate.
