A federal court jury on Friday found that Fresno police didn't discriminate or retaliate against one of their own, a black officer who filed suit after a traffic stop escalated into a full-blown investigation.

In 2007, Gerald Miller,a black off duty police officer employed by the Fresno Police Department, was stopped for speeding. He was not in uniform.
Miller used profanity and the on duty officer got mad.
Miller was issued a low level reprimand for this incident. He challenged the traffic ticket in court, and internal affairs began an investigation because of "alleged unprofessional behavior" during the hearing.
And the final indignity heaped on officer Miller? Later, he was issued an "old car" to drive for the day. THE HORRORS! A black police officer was issued an "OLD CAR."
