Just when it looked like the GOP Presidential field was finally taking shape, there is speculation that another big name may be joining the fray.
Stephen Hayes reports in the WEEKLY STANDARD that Congressman Paul Ryan, R-Wis., is "strongly considering a run for president," and has been quietly meeting with political strategists over the past three months to discuss a possible White House [2] bid. Hayes also writes that Ryan is presently on vacation in Colorado where he is discussing the subject with his family.
The House Budget Committee Chairman's Press Secretary Kevin Seifert tells Fox News: "While grateful for the continued support and encouragement, Congressman Ryan has not changed his mind."
Monday night, Fox News Contributor Karl Rove [ was on FOX News with Sean Hannity and said of the Republican 2012 field, "I think (New Jersey Governor) Chris Christie and Paul Ryan are going to look at it again ...

Paul Ryan Ping List! Freepmail me if you want on or off this list.
It could be fun. Perry could defend his support for hate crimes law and past support of Al Gore and Ryan could defend his support for TARP and a budget deal that increased the debt.
If he does, with Palin’s support, Ryan will be the next President.
Run Ryan, RUN!! Or...Run Sarah, RUN!!!
Rove, is this your doing?
Uh, Mr. Ryan...no.
Stay and get your budget passed and we will chat..maybe...
Don’t be a zero: 6 months on the job and “Well...my ojt is done....I’m ready to be prez!”
Paul is still saying “no”, but I’d run, not walk, to support him if he dicided to run.
He’s got the hair for it.
If Ryan let’s his name to be associated with Karl Rove’s it will be the KISS OF DEATH for getting elected even if he were to win the primary.
Agreed. His focus on actually attempting to solve the fiscal crisis would be a stark contrast to the platitudes of calculation and raw ambition offered by most of the others.
I hated TARP at the time. I subsequently came to understand the true nature of the crisis and the magnitude of the systemic collapse we faced. Ryan’s budget plan isn’t perfect, but it’s the only serious attempt ever made at longterm debt reduction.
To be fair, he’s been in the House for 13 years. I think there’s little prospect of him actually running though. It’s just beltway speculation.
Sure why not. At this rate every single GOP voter will have their own personal presidential candidate to vote for in 2012
Hahaha.
Two words: Harry Reid.
Paul Ryan has stated that the Super Congress is a crock and that the 2012 election should be a nationwide referendum on the future fiscal footing of our federal government.
I agree with Rep. Ryan and I can think of no better person than him to lead the conservative cause in that referendum.
This is how my small brain sees it.
If Palin runs, and I believe she will, I will continue to support her and she will win.
In the unlikely and unfortunate event that she doesn’t run, I will take an extremely good look at Ryan.
As it stands today, I don’t care much for any of those that have announced and that includes Perry.
Right now, 3-3:30pm central time, Milwaukee radio host and sometime Rush sub, Mark Belling, is discussing this. This is the number one story today on Mark’s show, meaning it is really big news.
Our (Wisconsin’s) own Paul Ryan would be a great candidate.
He would have my full support.
Belling says he has never before today, heard anything but “No” about Ryan about running for POTUS.
Ryan will shred Obama.
Now I have 2 candidates I would support.
Now thats funny. Post of the day!
