This one was a new low. I’m only surprised that some morons took it seriously for a moment.
These stories come up all the time, don’t they? What is amazing is that there are still suckers to believe every time, too. We’ve all been at the bar scene when some guy takes a girl home for being a war hero, but over the past ten years or so here on FR we’ve been treated to some really outrageous images of posers that boggle the mind that anyone with even a room temperature IQ could see through. One guy at work claims “5 combat jumps”. We keep him around because he does a good job overall and his stories are really entertaining. There are dozens of veterans there that know he’s FOS and he’s really just become their bitch and does the hard work.
Honestly, I fail to understand that mentality. It’s a total mystery to me.
