Yes, the prat does admit that the 'stereotypical' view is condescending, but then goes on to explain why Republicans are dangerous and ought to lose. Note that 'Obama has often failed to leverage his power as effectively as he could have'. This is the only thing that the Guardian has to say against the only president who is not a buffoon (the conscientious observer will note that this is not an area where the author believes the stereotype to be wrong.) I've read the article, and as a natural-born American, I'm insulted.
