Question: Has CA set their primary rules yet? I know they veered away slightly from winner-take-all in 2008 to a modified system where the winner in each congressional district got the delegates from that district.
CA could be important this year. The RNC has set the rules that may result in a dragged-out affair. Slate had an interesting article today about it that you folks may need to consider:
The media, of course, is salivating over the prospect of a brokered convention.
Interesting you say that because well-known economic naysayer Gerald Celente said in recent years that the current economic conditions could cause a revolution. We'll get a revolution, all right--one led by Sarah Palin's incredible "grassroots" campaign for President that will blow everything else away by how revolutionary it is in terms of true "people" support, bolstered by very heavy use of social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and soon Google+.
(Gawd, if Palin does run and her campaign sets up a Google+ site, it would become by far the most busy part of Google+ in no time flat.)
Assume that she announces on Labor Day. What would the first poll show, say a week after...I think Palin 35%, Perry 25%, Mitt 15%, Paul 10%...Bachmann might get 5%...all the others 1-2...
By getting in now, she takes Bachmann immediately OUT of the picture, and she can aso take Mitt out as well. Because Paln and Perry will be 1 & 2, with well over 50% of the vote combined...and no way that Mitt gets ANY of that vote..
That was a great 40 min.!
Bump.
To be completely realistic, I’m not very positive about the general electoral prospects of CA; however, I’m sure you guys will give Obama a run for his money. If he has to spend time in CA to shore up his base, he has already lost. Another thing could about you guys is the creative output coming from your sector.
Do you know of organization in CA other than O4P-CA that are organizing for Palin? Anything you are aware of in northern part of the state?
That's the way I see it also.
If I was Bachamnn...I would be spooked too, looking over my shoulder wondering if Sarah Palin “my friend” is about overtake her in a little while
TYVM!
TYVM!
He couldn’t spill the beans regarding September 3, but a whole lot of folks will be disappointed regardless, if she doesn’t announce!
It’s not just Iowa. I have relatives and friends in NH, SC, FL (and a few other early primary states) and they’re saying the same thing. O4P is under the radar screen in a lot of places and it’s growing.
Groups from Omaha O4P and Council Bluffs O4P took part in a large parade in Bellevue, NE and the response was great. We passed out A LOT of of O4P cards, stickers and buttons.
I think she has to star in the debates and get her ideas out there since the other declared are swiping ‘em now.
Let her cream ‘em all!
GO SARAH!
She'll declare then. Just gotta keep the faith, baby! Keep the faith!
WOO-HOO!
Tammy also pointed out that we will be treated as soveriegn citizens [as per the Constitution] not subjects. And we will need to take on the responsibility as such instead of expecting handouts like the Obama subjects.
Seriously good stuff!
OH YEAH, fer sure! And you’ll be in attendance!!!!!!
Peter Singleton and Tammy Bruce both said they felt she would not announce at the Tea Party speech, but some time mid-September. They also noted they had no inside info, just their opinion.
I have felt all along it would be mid to late Sept. I think she is going to let folks focus on Perry for a while, etc. I think she wants to be the last one in. Another think Tammy said, which is important, is that she doesn’t think Sarah is waiting to see who gets it, she is waiting to see if the American people are going to up to the task of taking on the responsibility of their country. [my wording]. You really need to listen to the podcast - SEVERAL TIMES - and take it to heart. It makes quite a lot of sense.
If our GOP candidates were man enough to debate ideas, I’d tell Sarah to get in now. If she’s in the debates in Sept., our Manly Men will gang up on her the way they tried with Michelle. The repub elites want anybody but Sarah!
Sarah wants the debate to be about American Conservatism, Patriotism, and Freedom versus Obama/Democrat socialist collectivism and government dependency.
Remember, the Boehner/McConnell pubbies want the same thing as their bipartisan friends in DC. More tax “revenues”, they just differ in their strategy on how to produce (confiscate) it. You can’t hand out favors without more money, in other words if you can’t increase taxes then compromise and raise the debt ceiling. This is anathema to Sarah.
Sarah doesn’t need to debate the gang of 6-10, if she’s in then she is the target. Let them take each other out in Sept (Pawlenty), then declare and stake out the high ground for the primaries. This election will be won at the grass roots, neighbor to neighbor, door to door, by freedom loving Americans getting their family and friends to the polls.
Sarah needs to take her message directly to the people without the punditry and the attacks from within and without for as long as possible. Those of us supporting her are respecting her right to call the shots, we’ll supply the support on the ground.
