No one recognizes evil any more, least of all in themselves.

I am a Hospice nurse, and I see death nearly daily; I cannot think of more abhorrent end-of-life scenario than this one. It chills me....

if she was not terminally ill, why was she being cared for at a hospice?

and how did she tap out “Now”? was she mentally competent?

and although a person dying of cancer is not required to stay on IV’s etc to keep them hydrated, how come they stopped giving fluid to this old lady, at the request of her daughter who admits to never being close to her mother?

this is murder, of course...

Lord have mercy on this daughter’s soul.

I would make a comment about her name, but I am just going to have all the Gross people angry with me.

"I wanted my mother to hurry up and die, and was ashamed to admit it.”

Finally, Gross writes, “On the 13th day without food or water, my mother I finally got her my wish.”

Fixed.
