The Antelope Valley is a vast patch of desert on the outskirts of Los Angeles County, and a segment of the few rugged individualists who live out there increasingly are finding themselves the targets of armed raids from local code enforcement agents, who

AH!.. California.. I thought all the decent people moved out of Califonia ages ago!!??..
Obviously I was right..
BFL8R since I live in the AV.
It's official in California, free men are a nuisance.
“Reason.tv collaborated with Melnicoff to talk with some of the NATs targets, such as retired veteran Joey Gallo, who ....”
Joey Gallo? wasn’t that “My Cousin Vinny’s” alias? Is this a real story? Hmmmm....
In this New America the citizen can not own private property. They can only make a huge security deposit to procure a long time lease that is mislabeled purchasing property. The conditions of that lease can be changed at any time with out notice by the true owners of that property and it can be taken from the citizen without return of the deposit.
According to John Locke, Adam Smith and the founders of the Old America without private property there can be no freedom nor liberty.
That thing is totally illegal and there is no way it could get a building permit!!!
They’re totally right to make him tear it down!

The vid was interesting. At the public comment session you could ask questions but the public officials didn’t have to respond. Seems really one sided and completely worthless. Why would the NATs go armed to the teeth and w/o search warrants to look for code violations?? Guess someones are intending to make $$$ off the land these folks are run off of, at least thats how the article plays it. Tell me again why anyone would want to live in KA?
No one ever owns their own land, they rent it fromt he government.

As if that weren’t bad enough, every year several different governments levy rent on that property, in amounts that they determine and which is not open to debate, and if the “owner” doesn’t pay, men with guns come and throw him off the property.
Sounds like your mouse has a flat.
California was wonderful- 20 years ago.
“Joey Gallo? wasnt that My Cousin Vinnys alias? “
That’s Callo! With a “C.”
There is just something suspicious about people who want to go off and
live in small towns, farms or rural country when they could be living like
maze rats in democrat-run urban slave camps. /s
