Today on The War on Guns: Notes from the Resistance radio program, we talked about the Recreational Lands Self-Defense Act, a bill introduced by Rep. Bob Gibbs (R-OH) to repeal the gun ban on land controlled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Gun Owners of America has issued an alert and asks supporters to "Please contact your Representative and urge him or her to cosponsor H.R. 1865, the Recreational Lands Self-Defense Act."
Regular readers both here and at my War on Guns blog know I don't ask anyone to do anything I don't do myself. That's one of the reasons why gun owners who won't even lift a finger or send an email continue to baffle and irritate the hell out of me. Especially when the effort required of us is so small.
It took me two minutes to contact my representative,Steven C. LaTourette, and I'm please to share his response with you:
