Evidence continues to mount that President Obama was adopted by his Indonesian stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, raising concerns over his presidential eligibility.
Obama’s American mother, Ann Dunham, separated from her first husband, Barack Obama Sr., in 1963 when the president was 2 years old. Dunham and Obama Sr. are reported to have later divorced.
In Hawaii, Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian, in 1965 and moved to Indonesia in October 1967.
Divorce documents filed in Hawaii on Aug. 20, 1980, refer to Obama as the “child” of both Soetoro and Dunham, indicating a possible adoption in the U.S.
The divorce records state: “The parties have 1 child(ren) below age 18 and 1 child(ren) above 18 but still dependent on the parties for education.”

If BHO did enroll as a foreign student (and there is no reason to think that he did), then yes the most that would reasonably mean is he committed fraud of some type. I say ‘of some type’ because I am not sure how to specifically categorize it.

The question of whether Obama applied as a foreigner is critical. Why would anyone assume, if he did it, it was fraud? We can’t know for certain because we don’t know on what basis he made the claim. Did he present a foreign passport? Did he show some other form of foreign documentation? We just don’t know. I’m glad you would like to find out. It would certainly speak to his values, which you say are important, to find out (1) if he did it, and if so, (2) on what basis.
It’s a complicated question, because the implied assumption is that the child will follow the father. The child of a rotten father could grow up to be a good leader for the US. The child of a great father could grow up to be a worthless person I wouldn’t allow to walk my dog.
It’s supposed to be up to the voters to screen out those who are unsuitable. Which means as voters, we need to do a better job this time around, and get more people to join us. That goal is made more difficult when it is associated with conspiracy theories.
So if someone makes up some baseless rumor about a public official, the public official must continually try to placate that person by trying endlessly to meet an ever changing standard of proof?

That is your answer. It is not the answer to the question to the question I asked.
And btw, it’s patronizing to keep saying I don’t understand my own question. I understand it.
If a person running for POTUS chooses to put a mountainous amount of personal records under lock and key, they should expect questions. If the people who pay the salary and perks of the POTUS get tired of the middle finger and ask to see some of the more important sealed documents, they’re not stepping out of line. Unless you believe Obama is a Supreme Leader and is not to be questioned by the peasants.
We are now officially going around in circles. Nothing I wrote above is new. I’ve said it before. If you are on Obama’s side and want to continue to defend his right to hide so many basic documents, fine. Please don’t expect me to agree. I still believe the people who pay his outrageous perks have a right to see some of these deep, dark hidden records, and I always will.
DL, one problem I have with Sven’s theory about the child repatriation theory is that the SS number Obama uses has been demonstrated to have been previously issued to someone else who died in 1981 in Hawaii, and the SS administration is on record saying that they have never reused a SS number of a dead person.Ever.
There is no question in my mind that Obama is the product of Communist enterprise devoted to putting a Marxist in the White House to usher in Socialism to America, to redistribute its wealth, and to dissolve its unique culture.
There is too much that cannot be ascertained for a man only 50 years old to deny that his entire past is a construct, without the ability to verify completely almost anything he claims. He was born into, and traveled in the orbit, of many radicals. leftists, terrorists, and fellow travelers to Communism, moreso than can be explained by any combination of coincidence.
In my opinion, he was groomed for just here he is today.

His mother was enrolled in the University of Washington just three weeks after Obama was “born” in August, 1961. In 1962, she lives in Seattle. It makes more sense to me that she was living in Washington, had the baby across the border, and came back to live and finish her studies.She could not have done that living in Hawaii and having a three week old baby.Grandma Dunham, working in Hawaii, took care of the documentation for her daughter, including getting a SS number when Obama needed one, since she was working at the time in probate court in Honolulu, whee she knew the SS numbers of those who died, especially those who died intestate.
Maybe Obama was born earlier than August 1961.
Anything “official” about Obama is suspect as a fact.
If Obama was born in Canada, rather than in the US, of a British father (if indeed Obama Sr. is really his father—more and more I think that this was a marriage of convenience for Stanley Ann so her son would not have the added stigma of being a bastard in addition to being biracial. Obama owed the senior Dunhams for their hospitality and help when he came from Kenya to Hawaii as a student in 1959 as a Tom Mboya protege) then there is NO question that he is not natural born nor native born.
I wonder if that is why Obama does not fear anything or anybody—he has been told that he will be protected—after all, he is the “figurehead”. All the rabbit trails that would expose him have been sanitized.
Or have they? Humans make mistakes. Somewhere, someone knows something—a fact or a piece of paper that will start the whole row of dominoes falling.
The search has to go on. Nothing adds up to Obama or for Obama.
All I know is that the birth certificate is a forgery, the SS number is not his, and that his past cannot be constructed.
Which means we have a very dangerous situation in DC since January 20, 2009 at noon.
I agree with you that Obama is hiding stuff, and that there is something rotten in Denmark or he would cough up more info. BUT, I am not and never have been a Vattle Birther, and as far as I am concerned the Vattle Birthers are a embarrassment to all the other Birthers (like I was) who had Common Sense Suspicions about Obama.
It’s actually not a complicated question at all. It’s painfully simple. If you were a Founder, would you (1) enshrine in the Constitution the right of non-citizen enemies of the nation to father future presidents, or (2) feel the nation better served by limiting the highest office of the land to the offspring of citizen parents?

Agreed! It’s very embarrassing to picture the Founders as discriminating against foreign enemies. Surely the only reason they included the NBC requirement was to King George’s right to father a future POTUS if he so desired. And though they wouldn’t have known them by name, they would also have wanted Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Marx and a certain anti-American marxist Kenyan to have the same rights as American citizens when it comes to fathering the POTUS. Anything less is jingoistic, and the province of embarrassingly ignorant rubes.

According to Amemrican citizenship law, a minor cannot yield his American citizenship. Nor can a parent yield it for him.
If Obama actually held dual citizenship, it was up to him to declare one way or the other upon his 18th (or 21st...it's been a long time since I studied International Law).
If, as an American citizen, he misrepresented himself as an Indonesian citizen for the purpose of gaining an advantage at Occidental, it would be a clear-cut case of fraud.
I can't imagine that Occidental would prosecute the case, though.
That is about the dumbest and most irrelevant answer I have ever seen anybody give to another person’s post. If you don’t want to vote for Hitler’s son who might have been born in America, then don’t. but that has NOTHING to do with what the law is, and YOU KNOW IT!!!

Angry??? Yes, I don’t like Vattle Birthers very much because they are either morally or mentally deficient. I have never seen one ever admit they were just TOTALLY FULL OF POOP, nop matter how many times the law was shown them. While us other Birthers were out there doing the Lord’s Work, the stupid Vattle Birthers were just spewing STUPID CRANK law theories and chasing people off with their IDIOCY!!!
