In 2010, I did a tour in Africa with Navy Civil Affairs. In my experience, the UN is the most wasteful, useless organization around. During my time in the country I was deployed to, the UN weenies would almost never leave the capital where they had one of the nicest complexes. In a country where the main hospital in the capital didn’t have running water, they would waste money on “smoking awareness campaigns” and “peace in Africa” campaigns. Utterly useless tripe.
They would give tons of money to the government where it would just disappear, thus proving the old adage that foreign assistance is taking money from poor people in rich countries and giving it to rich people in poor countries.
1. Declare all UN property to be under control of the U.S. Military.
2. Send all foreign UN personnel back to the countries they represent.
3. Declare "diplomatic immunity" null and void.
4. Bring in Army demolition teams to create a "free enterprise zone for Joe the Plumber type business owners" out of where the UN building now stands.
5. Freeze all assets connected to the UN fund and distribute those assets (divided equally) to each of the 50 U.S. states.
6. Tell any country that objects to "go to hell".
