Thanks to Illinois governor Pat Quinn and the Illinois legislature Illinois Loses Most Jobs in the Nation.

In a trend that continues to worsen, more Illinoisans found themselves unemployed in the month of July. Illinois lost more jobs during the month of July than any other state in the nation.

...

When it comes to putting people back to work, Illinois is going backwards. Since January, Illinois has dropped 89,000 people from its employment rolls.

A combination of high taxes, overspending and red tape do nothing but chase away job creators and leave too many citizens without jobs. Springfield needs to act now and reverse course.

You have a dead body of the Liberal Welfare State on full display in Illinois. The Dems have had full power to enact everything and it hasn't worked. Yet the MSM acts like a beat cop trying to keep people from gawking at the hideous spectacle—nothing to see here, move along.

until that entire cesspit of illinois is cleaned out from top to bottom of Dems and unions with industrial cleaning and a hazmat suit, it will continue to be a boil on the butt of the country.

This is going to anger California.

They thought the award for MOST STUPID ELECTORATE was already theirs.

The demographics of Illinois are rapidly changing. It is going the way of California.

LOL, how astute. I think KA and IL could be joined by several other states vying for that award.

Illinois is Obama’s seat of power and the jewel in his crown. If your state is better off than Illinois, it’s because Obama didn’t have the power to do with your state what he wished, and for that you can thank the Tea Party.

Illinois is essentially a Red State if you remove Cook County (Chicago) from the mix.

The liberal dependency pimps force the rest of the State to follow their policy directions.

There’s a 50/50 view here...

the good part is that more business will be going somewhere else than IL.

the bad part? Alongside the exodus will be idiot, unemployed liberals waiting to ruin your red-state gene pool.

“Alongside the exodus will be idiot, unemployed liberals waiting to ruin your red-state gene pool.”

That is the metastasizing cancer in our body politic.

Exactly. Chicago has ruined Illinois.

Jerry Costello, Jr., son of the Democratic Congressman, was recently appointed to an open state legislature seat in southwestern Illinois. In his first speech, he pledged to go to Springfield and “fight the Chicago politicians.” We’ll see how that works out once he has to deal with Speaker Magidan, but at least he got the rhetoric right for downstate Illinois.

A couple of quotes from the comments section in my local Illinois newspaper...
“To those who complain about the high taxes in Illinois. I have a fantastic solution for you—move. If these sky high taxes are that much of a burden on your personal income and chosen lifestyle, instead of whining you should do something about it.”

And another...”Our Republican politicians represent the wealthy. I am amazed at middle-class citizens who are always angry about the poor getting some help, but not outraged that the wealthy control our country and continue to get richer and richer. There will not be a middle-class in this country if Republicans get their way.”

Illinois is hopeless.
