In what could be a way of lowering expectations for next Thursday's big economic speech, aides to President Obama are privately spreading word that he will not present his entire jobs plan in his address to a Joint Session of Congress.

Aides say Thursday's speech will be part of a bigger plan the White House will roll out throughout the fall with the president hitting the road for speeches and town hall appearances. Aides have already confirmed that Obama will be traveling to California, Colorado, and Washington state for one three-day swing later this month that will include economic events as well as some fundraising.

The move could be a way to try and lower the stakes for Thursday's Joint Session appearance, but it could also be an attempt by the administration to show the president is trying to stay all over the economy heading into what will likely be an uphill re-election battle.

Barry is going to Congress to browbeat and blame them for everything. It’s going to be ugly.

By mid-year next year, he will already be a lame duck. There will be no effective fundraising then. He has to do his fundraising now, while he can still dangle carrots in front of rich donors (ie, while he still appears to have some power to grant political favors).

He will have nothing to offer in next week’s speech but more of the same stuff we have seen during the past 30 months. Then he’s going on a tour through several states, promising that he’s going to reveal parts of his big plan all along the way, like dropping bread crumbs. What promises will he be extracting; what favors will he be granting? Is it all part of his retirement plan, or does he think he still has a chance to win? Or is he trying to cover both eventualities?

He is going there to ram home to all the sheeple of America that it is those nasty evil Republicans that are standing in his way of fixing the terrible economic mess that his Republican predecessor handed him - a much worse mess than anyone in his admin could have guessed. THIS IS THE ONLY THING HE HAS TO RUN ON - BLAMING THE GOP CONGRESS!!!!! Never mind that most of the sheeple could not even tell you which party controls the Senate - if Barry says the GOP is standing in his way, then it has got to be so, and never mind that the RAT party held all the levers of power between 1-2007 and 1-2011. He will call on everyone watching this call to worship to get to their phones and demand that Congress stop opposing him and get to work on these "jobs" that he is so desperately trying to free up.
