Police and firefighter unions = mostly Republicans, unlike labor unions. NOT the same thing.
I’m with you on that. I just wish more of them would speak up and run for leadership positions within the union, kind of change from within. But even when firefighters and police officers do try to take a more conservative stand, well, being under the umbrella and affiliated with the larger AFL-CIO whack jobs they’re out voted.
That was way back when, it is not this way any longer. The majority of police & firefighters who are in unions, are mostly for the demoRATs & against Repubs, and it gets worse the larger the city, or in states like CA, NY, NJ, MD, MI, etc.
In Wisconsin, one of the heads of a police union was the one who sent letters to stores telling them to support unions....or else was the unspoken threat. WI police & firefighters were part of the mobs who marched & damaged the WI state capital building to the tune of $7.5 million, even though Gov Walker exempted them from the collective bargaining reforms. Bunch of thug pigs. He should have revamped the proposed law to remove their collective bargaining on non-salary issues as well.
In Indiana, during the protests & marches by the union thug & demoRATs, the police unions marched in military formations to intimidate & coerce & threaten Repub supporters of Gov Mitch Daniels.
Personally I detest any cop or firefighter who belongs to the unions unless they were forced to do so, and speak out against the unions.
The police & firefighter unions & members are particularly thuggish in large, demoRAT cities. They are a bunch of thug pigs.
