Teamsters President James Hoffa isn’t backing down from his Labor Day remarks, and there are very few on his side calling on him to do so. Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer says there is something to be learned from the episode.

On Tuesday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel, Krauthammer said the lack of a backlash was the latest evidence of hypocrisy from President Barack Obama’s party.

“The real story is [the] cosmic hypocrisy of the Democrats,” Krauthammer said. “We had the shooting in Tucson all of a sudden that was obviously the act of a psychotic mad man… And yet for four days there was unrelenting vitriol from the left – some elected representatives, some commentators, columnists about how this was caused by the, the somehow the climate.”

The good doctor kind of let Hoffa off the hook and went after the Dems.

But "cosmic hypocrisy" is a good one.

As well he should. This is larger than the fat slob union blowhard who delivered the message (this time)...or have you forgotten the absolute unhinged hysteria with which the Giffords shooting was handled?

This Administration won’t separate itself from violent rhetoric. Obama is “proud” of Hoffa. That speaks volumes about Obama and his judgment.

Agree. However it has been rampant on the left, liberal MSM, their talking heads, etc., for at least the last two decades.

I’m truly convinced that the Dems want all this hypocrisy and baiting and hatred going on. THEY want a conservative or a Tea party member to snap. They want the golden story for their agenda....

The hypocrisy is definitely at a cosmic magnitude level. There are two significant factors, from what I can determine. One is the need for the Democrats to deflect criticism away from their President, who is at historic polling lows. So they amplify any minor grievances and outright construct false grievances. That way there is always something else to blame or contemplate.

And the other significant factor is that the Tea Party represents perhaps the most well armed force on the planet. So the Democrats tend to go hyper at any minor grievances or potential problems they might experience. Also might explain why the current Democratic administration has been increasing the armament of their domestic and foreign gang forces (gunwalker).
