The Five Biggest Reasons Republicans Keep Losing the Propaganda War
Pajamas Media ^ | September 8,2011 | Kyle-Anne Shiver

Posted on 09/08/2011 7:03:01 AM PDT by Hojczyk

It never ceases to confound me, dear readers, how on earth Republicans keep losing America’s propaganda war.

How do we know they’re losing in the public’s perception? Easy.

Ask yourself: when was the last time you freely discussed any conservative or even moderate political view with friends at work, or on campus, or in public, or at a large social gathering — without hedging your every word? When? Can you identify a single recent instance when you felt your conservative or even moderate views would be tolerated without provoking name-calling or public shaming into the nearest corner of societal oblivion?

Everywhere one goes, save conservative websites, Republicans are widely connoted with tinges of racism, hate, selfishness, greed, war-mongering, and conspiratorial theocratic designs against democracy. Fox News has some opinion shows that try to give an ounce of conservative balance to the airwaves and they’ve paid for it with an all out war declared against them by leftist activists.

And, honey, any way one chooses to slice, dice, puree, or grind to bits this reality, it spells one thing for the Democrats: VICTORY.

1. Many Republicans have undiagnosed Stockholm Syndrome.

In the mouths of modern Democrats, words have become the rhetorical equivalent of cattle prods.

When push comes to shove and Democrats are losing, they inevitably pick up the nearest rhetorical cattle prod and aim it at their victims: Racist! War-monger! Selfish beast! Homophobe! Misogynist! Islamophobe! Child-hater! Ignoramus! Science-hating-idiot! Religious nutcase! Redneck!…you know these cattle prods, dear readers, and see them in constant use not only in public on the airwaves but in private conservations with liberal friends, co-workers, and family members.

Are you all ready to coexist with the blithering buffoon tonight as he attempts to be coherent while speaking to the American people?

Republicans loose because they are RINOs...Perry and Palin are not afraid to speak out...Conservatives are more willing to argue...

People who lack bedrock principles can’t inspire anyone.

The biggest reason is that all of the state sactioned propoganda outlets are all 110% in the tank for the ‘rats and Obama. They have dropped even the pretense of objectivity for the most part.

Personally don’t give a rats butt. I tell it like it is, and if anyone wants to berate me for telling the truth, eff ‘em. They can sit, and shoot off their “iggorance” all day as far as I’m concerned. I’ll keep saying truth over, and over if necessary. Proud to be of service.

One thing the left has difficulty faking is sincerity.

They can’t come across as sincere when they MUST, absolutely MUST, hide their core convictions,

because if they ran on their core convictions, they wouldn’t even get near enough to smell positions of power.

Core conservatives, having, running on, and stating their core principals truthfully and boldly, will ALWAYS have an advantage over those who try to be all things to all people.

I discuss it all the time. I work at a High School and conservatives are outnumbered here 5-1. We are represented though and mostly are men. In true form, the libs don't want to debate issues. The fall back on the "All Republicans care about is themselves" and "they don't care about education". I was surprised to find as many conservatives as I have at all levels of our district...

The media sets the context for all public political discourse. Ignoring their effect as seems to be the official GOP policy is a MAJOR mistake.

Well we ARE on the domestic terrorist watch list, after all. Do we honestly expect people to like us when we're so dangerous to America?

“Racist! War-monger! Selfish beast! Homophobe! Misogynist! Islamophobe! Child-hater! Ignoramus! Science-hating-idiot! Religious nutcase! Redneck!…”

-

To which the correct response is “blah blah blah”.

In their increasing desperation to control discourse, the left is eating their own rhetorical seed corn. They’ve lost their monopoly on news through the increasing availability of internet sites, and networks like Fox.

So they keep upping the ante. Fact is, soon nobody will believe it, when they shout “WOLF!”

Soon they’ll have no more emotive words left, which actually work.

Discussing issues with a liberal is a waste of time and extremely frustrating. They are stuck in “zombie” mode.

The fact that conservatives tend to use logic and facts to back their arguments while liberals and leftists appeal to emotions makes arguing with liberals an unpleasant experience for many conservatives.

When Conservatism is totally criminalized, maybe we will be shoved into ghettos or locked up. We won’t be working and paying taxes THEN.

It’s sort of like Stalin when he murdered all the Kulaks and then had to endure mass famine....duh

I never hedge.

I am clear as a bell.

I also never get mad or make it personal since the issue is influencing the greater population one person at a time.

My goal, when engaged, is to deliver information and a viewpoint that does not budge or cower, so as to be an example to others and influence them silently.

I don’t need to win a discussion, unless they want to “point-counterpoint”.

Trust me, I have been in discussions with some heavy hitters and was once told I should be shot for my view point.

To which I acquiesced but, only if they agreed that one of their closest family members would suffer the same penalty for having an opinion opposite of mine.

The wanted to know why not them to which I replied “If you are gone and we agree to a mutual penalty of death, how are to feel pain for such extreme rules?”

They sat there blankly.

I then heard the reply from a supporter “Man, you don’t give in”.

“To what? A coniviction of ideals? That doesn’t make any sense”.

Everyone laughed and I got a “touche’” from a few including the guy that said I should be shot and he even apologized for his statement.
