Palin, Perry, and Paranoia (Dirty tricks)
The American Spectator ^ | 9.1.11 @ 1:10AM | Robert Stacy McCain

Posted on 09/08/2011 7:22:17 AM PDT by helpfulresearcher

It appeared that the event's organizers, a new group called Tea Party of America founded by Ken Crow, had provoked an unnecessary controversy by a last-minute decision to add former Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell to the rally schedule.

Someone unearthed a quote from event organizer Crow saying of Palin's presidential prospects: "I know for a fact she ain't gonna run." The quote prompted Dave Weigel of Slate to exclaim: "That's the guy bringing Palin to Iowa for an event that reporters are attending because they wonder whether Palin will run!"

Palin supporters wondered why Crow was publicly expressing such derogatory opinions about his own rally's headliner. And then one e-mailed me a photo showing Crow talking to Texas Gov. Rick Perry at a recent Des Moines GOP event. The Palin supporter speculated: This guy Crow has to be doing this all on purpose, for one reason: to make Palin look bad, for the benefit of someone who wants to make Palin look bad.

Remember: if they can make the narrative "Tea Party Woman=Christine O'Donnell=Sarah Palin" stick, then who wins? Rick Perry.

That speculation may seem far-fetched, but Stacy Drake of Conservatives for Palin writes: "I do know that Ken Crow is a Rick Perry supporter who has managed to make a mess out of a highly publicized event that Governor Palin will be headlining on Saturday. I also know that he has been trashing Governor Palin to the press."

Isn’t Tea Party of America the one with questionable roots, started by internet marketing/data collection guys? Possibly another artificial Tea?

Who the heck is Ken Crow and why should we care what he says?

Because he gave the MSM more ammo. And guess who benefited.

Since the rally went off without a hitch, thunderstorm not withstanding, this is kind of old, stale news.

Anything that revelas the character of the candidates is vital information during the primary.

It appears that Perry tried to pull a dirty trick on Palin and it backfired on him. She came on stronger than ever.

It certainly looks that way, and possibly with support from Perry. If he can’t get real Tea Party organizations to endorse him, he has a phony one in his pocket ready to use.

Are you trying to spike this story? Are you a Perry supporter? Do you receive money from Perry directly or indirectly?

I doubt Perry had anything to do with it. He is pretty cozy with the big Tea Party groups. Palin and Perry are also pretty friendly. Most of these sideliner groups are Dems trying to create strife and divide our side.

Good point, he does seem to want to build up the war between Palin and Perry supporters even though the two candidates are pretty friendly.

Are you a Perry supporter?

So what if someone is?

Are you an Obama supporter?

"I know for a fact she ain't gonna run." ... Palin supporters wondered why Crow was publicly expressing such derogatory opinions about his own rally's headliner.

There it is again! It's the strangest thing.

Why is speculating that Palin is not going to run considered such a heresy?

I don't think she's going to run (this time around) and anytime I say it, lunatics go off the rails, and accuse me of having some agenda, or repeating talking points, or hating Palin.

It's like suggesting that Kim Jong-il didn't get 18 holes-in-one in his most recent golf outing.

Quiting baiting. It’s unattractive.

This is silly. It looks like Crow was caught in a cat fight. O’Donnell wanted to ride Palin’s coattails and Palin’s cut O’Donnell like dead weight.

Interesting theory. But then what was Crow doing “guaranteeing” Palin would not run, and being photographed a short time earlier with Perry? It is suspicious behavior by Crow to say the least.

We will probably never know the details that would clear it up for sure.

The more I hear about Perry, the more he seems the type to condone such behavior.
