Friend --
One year from today, Democrats from across the country will meet in Charlotte, North Carolina to renominate Barack Obama for President.
The 2012 Convention will be different from any that came before it.
We believe this should be an event not just for the thousands who will attend but for the millions whose values it will reflect -- making supporters across the country feel closely tied to what is happening in Charlotte and giving you unprecedented access to the nominating process.
That's why we're asking you to sign up to get updates from the 2012 Democratic Convention. If you do, you'll automatically be entered for a chance to join us at the Convention in Charlotte one year from today.
Sign up now.
Conventions are a time to come together to celebrate our Party and our President, and show Americans what unites us as Democrats.
Three years ago, I was in Denver.
On the second-to-last night of the Democratic National Convention, I watched as Michael Wilson, an Iraq War veteran, stood to nominate Barack Obama to be president of the United States. I spoke to second that nomination, and I talked about how important it is to nominate a candidate who reflects all our values -- to choose a leader who is looking out for all our country's citizens, not just millionaires, billionaires, and special interests.
And I believe that our Convention ought to reflect those same fundamental principles.
To ensure that happens, I need you to take an active role and become a part of this event.
Sign up today to get updates about the 2012 Convention, be the first to know about news and behind-the-scenes events, and find ways to get involved. You could get to fly out to Charlotte and witness a new round of history in the making.

We like Boothbay Harbor, though there are plenty of other spots along the Maine coast during the off-season.
What catches you is the quiet, once the tourists are gone, combined with the scenery. Face east and you have the rocky coast with scenic little harbors and "pocket" beaches. Turn west and there is the New England forest, which explodes with color in early October. And all of it is so thought-drivingly quiet.
(Potential guests might be amused to know there are leaf-peeping cruises up the rivers during the fall, then return to a tiny bed & breakfast for the night ... oh yeah!)
We native yankees (small Y), love our part of the country best during the autumn.
When I was there we visited friends in Newburypoint. He flies a Drifter light sport plane. ( a long rail with wings and a motor).
I sat out on the front rail and he flew me all over, up to the white mountains, along the Maine coast and all over in like early Oct.
WOW the colors from about three thousand feet to right above tree tops was spectacular.
BUT I’m a Florida boy and finally needed to get back to where it stays at least a little worm.
“Conventions are a time to show Americans....what unites Democrats.” - Drugs, sex toys and Bruce in room 221? Dirty money?
“One year from today, Democrats from across the country will meet in Charlotte, North Carolina to renominate Barack Obama for President. The 2012 Convention will be different from any that came before it.”
Yes, the black power racists and the union racists all together, huggy warm, in one city. What could possibly go wrong?
I suspect that Charlotte will be the first liberal city burned to the ground in obuma’s quest to make us into a turd world spear-chucking Mau-Mau nation.
Spears don’t work in South Carolina, fartheads. Try and see.
She looks like a female Preying Mantis! And I mean PREYING! Can you imagine what her pillow looks like in the morning! Yeech!
