This Turner who won will likely be termed a “RINO” here soon enough. If not, he won’t be reelected. That’s just the district. We can have a ‘moderate’ Republican or an off-the-charts liberal Dem out of the Schumer/Weiner mold. Take your pick.

I heard it said that the winner of this race would only have the seat through 2012 because the district would disappear in the redistricting.

I agree. I don’t care if Turner is a RINO. He took the congressional seat of Geraldine Ferraro, Chuck Schumer and Weiner. That is a big deal and needs to be celebrated. We’ve shut down one of the Dems major seats of power in the House.

Yep, it is remarkable how that simple and obvious idea is totally fought by the Lovers of Losers.

"If not, he won't be reelected."

Not to worry, he'll only be there for one year.

Redistricting realigns the district.
