Well lets take a look here.

In 2008 he had his rock star tour with the Greek columns.

in 2012 he has an established record, and performance metrics that look like this... unemployment in double digits, significant job losses, nearly doubling the national debt, government takeover of the entire Health care industry, Increased Taxes, Unlawful Czars dictating Rules and Policy, Iran is nearly nuclear capable.

In the words of that famous Republican Congressman - YOU LIE!

Who controls the elections? For that matter, set up a czar and announce that the elections are under review/canceled.

KOOKs said that about the Clinton regime, and Leftist KOOKs said that about Bush. Standard, worn-out, empty fear mongering.

The point being is that it isn't only the Presidential election, its also the entire House and one third of the Senate, plus many state and local elections. To not have an election means that Barry is also telling the States that they can't even change their local representatives.

Furthermore, the President is not elected by your vote. The President is selected by delegates who traditionally are "elected" en mass by some calculus of precinct majorities. No State is bound to that kind of system and can just as easily decide delegates by drawing names out of a hat. Also, delegates, though are expected to vote a certain way are not bound by anything other than personal ethics to vote for whom they are allegedly pledged to choose.

If Barry were to declare a National Emergency, it would have to be one hell of one since no President, during any Wars, Depressions or other National Calamity has ever halted or suspended elections in the US - and even doing so doesn't force the States to not have elections since many more offices are Constitutionally decided on by the individual states, counties and cities.

Leave worrying over suspended elections to the KOOKs. There were elections in hopeless basket cases such as Iraq and Afghanistan during the height of domestic turmoil. If the US ceased to exist, then maybe there would be no elections, but understand that no one would recognize Barry as leader of anything. His own people would eat him so that they could grab power.

This idiot has a record of failure and his base is beginning to despise him. Sure he is going to have an easier chance of getting relected/sarcasm!

narcissistic...........

So very true, but the real concern here isn't obama so much as the billions of dollars looted from the public trough to finance the usurper's re-election campaign.

Under the assumption that the two events (his initial election and his reelection) are statistically independent, then he is correct.

Unfortunately for him, he is listening to a statistical moron in the WH. For those of us who dabble in math, we recognize that the probability of his reelection is not an independent event from his election ... esp. with all the events in between those two events.

A better question would be ...

What is the probability of reelection given (conditioned on) unemployment at 9.1%, debt 15 trillion, deficit spending 1.5 T, foreign policy disasters, ObamaCare, et. al. ...

In this respect I would say the probability is less than his initial election.

Though I should preface all this analysis by the disclaimer:

It is difficult to model the stupidity of 45% of the populace.

“And I just have to remind people that, here’s one thing I know for certain: the odds of me being reelected are much higher than the odds of me being elected in the first place.”

I've always felt there was something wrong in Obomas head. I think he thinks he's been sent here by Allah to save the world. I think he honestly believes he's the Mahdi. He probably believes some kind of divine intervention from Allah will protect him.

OR, maybe his followers already have a major terrorist attack planned that will cause so much destruction, Oboma will have to stay to "save us all". Either a Muslim or a whether underground type thing.
Crimminy. That's a terrible thought. (The end justifies the means!)
If anything does happen, we know it was no accident. It's the ONLY thing that would save him.

Imho, you're on the right track, but backin' the wrong horse

I'm not as much interested in the horse as I am in the "horse's" Rolodex.

Romney will bring in all of his hedge-fund cronies and East Coast Establishment types it will be a mix of being ruled by the editors of Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.

I'm scared to death of RoPaul's supporters and even if RoPaul wasn't 20% insane, his Myrmidons are 100% insane and I wouldn't want them anywhere near the seat of power.

Newt Gingrich, once you remove the fact that he is an oath breaker and skirt-chaser, would make a great "ideas guy" in the White House. Fortunately for us, we have plenty of good ideas - its just implementing them and Gingrich's Rolodex looks a lot like Karl Rove's and for that reason we don't need another eight years of "Compassionate Conservatism" aka "Communism Lite".

As far as the other candidates, who knows what lurks in their Rolodexes! I guess the only clues we have are from the roster running their campaign. Its who these campaign staffers know that will likely dictate who is our next Secretary of State and Treasurer. I'm not encouraged with Bachmann's collection of misfits.

That leaves us with Perry, who has ten years of governorship to establish his political connections, which don't appear to be yet another Inside The Beltway Cabal. I don't want to see the usual suspects appearing regularly on the talking head programs anywhere near the next President's cabinet or advisory staff.

Let me spin the Gardasil faux-controversy. I would rather have a guy who is in bed with a major Fortune 50 employer and innovator in life saving products rather one who is presently receiving services from ACORN, SEIU, CPUSA and the Teamsters.

I hope to heck that Perry does sweet heart deals for Big Oil, Big Pharma and Big Agra. Drill a damned oil rig through the head of an ANWAR moose if need be. If Merck calls up and says "Your FDA is killing our business" then I wouldn't be upset if Perry threw down an EO telling the FDA inspectors to go turn their efforts in investigating the health and safety of the local bus station latrine.

I'm not into Emperor Worship. Show me who is going to implement and administrate. Who is going to be the AG? Who is going to find and select the next SC justice? Most importantly, who is the official gate-keeper and real influence on public policy - the Chief of Staff?

Yep.

This “IF” he is re-elected will find himself staring down a super majority in the Congress and at least a majority in the Senate.

He won’t be doing much of anything for his last term but signing EO’s, telling his judicial to ignore laws and plenty of golfing.

Seriously, Barry is delusional to think he is going to be re-elected and his statement:

“And I just have to remind people that, here’s one thing I know for certain: the odds of me being reelected are much higher than the odds of me being elected in the first place.”

is at odds with his acknowledgement that he will be a on termer if the economy doesn’t turn around in a meaningful and impactful way.

Sorry, Bare.... The economy will look at least like it does now, come November 2012. Your Treasury and the reserve have said as much explicitly.

There is a reason why interest rates continue move downward and the Fed. Reserve stated, flat out, they will hold interest rates right where they are through mid 2013.

In fact, try this article excerpt from CNNMoney:

“The Federal Reserve painted a much gloomier picture of the economy Tuesday, and indicated it would keep cash cheap and easy for at least two more years.”

The new two-year time horizon was an unusual move because the Fed doesn’t typically signal its policies that far in advance, and because it was interpreted as an admission that the economy will remain weak until then.

“It surprised me that they boxed themselves into a corner that way,” said Professor Steve Wyatt from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University. “It essentially tells markets that they don’t see any hope that we will see a stronger economic recovery in the next two years.”

The central bank acknowledged that economic growth in the United States is “considerably slower” than expected. That marks a change from prior statements, when the Fed had said the recovery was chugging along at a “moderate pace.”

And it gets worse or stays the same if one reads the news reports from any other news media.

Bottom line:

9% unemployment, flat growth and international policies that are an extension of Bush policies are going to suppress voter turnout for you Barry.

We're in almost complete agreement, except for this part:

That leaves us with Perry

For the moment . . .
