I am surprised to hear that coerced bussing is still even used anywhere. It was imposed by one of these psychopath judges in Cleveland about thirty-forty years ago, and it destroyed the city's population base. Anyone with kids who could afford it, Black, White or in between, fled the city like the plague. Now Cleveland perennially competes for the "poorest city" title. Didn't used to.
