Talking to "Meet the Press" moderator David Gregory on Sunday's NBC Today, co-host Jenna Wolfe asked about President Obama's proposed "Buffet Rule," designed to increases taxes on the rich, which she assumed "will sit well with the American people overall."

David Gregory agreed but lamented: "...the President's got to think about what he can do to actually get some agreement with Republicans. And I don't see this getting anywhere." Gregory complained: "If Democrats are supposed to cut entitlements, aren't Republicans going to have to give at all on the idea of tax increases?... But we saw in the debt fight in the summer, Republicans would not give on taxes. So if that's the case, then Washington is just going to be mired, going nowhere yet again."

A tumor that is "going nowhere" is better than one that is rapidly metastasizing. First we'll stop it and then cut it out.

What the hell is wrong with “going nowhere?” There’s nowhere I want to go that Obama wants to take the country. If he wants it, I don’t. I don’t even need to know the details.

In the never-ending quest to find the perfect metaphor for this turd, I view him as nothing more than a juvenile delinquent. He’s the kind of trash that will spray paint their name on your garage door, never once thinking about how much you had to work to pay for that garage door, nor how much work or money you will have to earn or pay to get it to where it was before he came along. Meanwhile, he thinks he’s making an improvement on your garage door and doing you a favor by spray-painting his name on it. And above all, he can’t leave your garage door alone. He hates that you have one, indeed, the very idea that you have one means you had to pay sub-par wages to someone to build it and someone else to install it. That you have it, is proof positive that you exploited others to get it. I detest this guy.

True. “Gridlock” in Washington usually means they’re prevented from doing further damage...for a short time anyway.

We need a special 75% tax rate on the income of Liberal news talking heads. How about that David? You’d be doing your part and you could feel good about that.

David Gregory should be asking the democrat controlled senate that question. After all, a majority of them don’t want tax hikes either. Obama is trying to play the blame republicans in congress game but the fact is that his own party is not going to lock step with him on this one. He painted himself into a corner.

David, remember how you whailed and moaned when the House voted to defund Obamacare? What a waste of time, Political theater, you said because there was no way it was going to pass..

Don't you believe that the same tone is in order here?

David, sometimes going nowhere is an excellent idea. Particularly if the destination is hell.

The overwhelming spending occurred when the Dems held the House, the Senate and the Pres..ency. Now the Repubs hold the House. When Zero blames Congress, he is assuming the People will blame the Repubs as we now hold the House. In a lot of cases he is right. A good percentage of Americans need to wake up and assign blame where it belongs. Another 4 years of the narcissistic manchild and we won't have a viable country to save.

Well, liberals want to pay more taxes. I think we should confescate the wealth of Soros, Buffet, all major democrat contributors and that should take care of it.

""If Democrats are supposed to cut entitlements, aren't Republicans going to have to give at all on the idea of tax increases?..."

I wonder if Mr. Gregory has ever said something like this:

"If Republicans are supposed to cut the military budget, aren't Democrats going to have to give at all on the idea of tax decreases?..."
