AUSTIN (KXAN) - An old foe is lashing out at Gov. Rick Perry, as he continues his campaign for president. Debra Medina - a GOP opponent in 2011's gubernatorial race - and a handful of tea party activists pointed out what they call “crony capitalism” formed under Perry's reign in Texas.

"Michele Bachmann got it right. Gov. Perry's executive order was driven on money, not driven on good policy,” Medina said Thursday at the State Capitol.

I think she actually lives in Wharton.

Another thing she had going for her as far as getting votes was that she is married to a Mexican—and I think they adopted some Mexican kids if I remember correctly.

How the hell do you think we’d fund local Gov and schools? Income tax????

Schools not only receive funding through property taxes (which essentially gives our real estate to a school board), but 25% of Texas fuel taxes go to education (by Texas Constitutional Amendment),and then there's the state lottery ( a tax on stupidity).

Personally, I'm sick and tired of educating and feeding someone else's kid, especially if they are illegal aliens.

Then she goes and loses all the people in one fell swoop just as Texans were preparing to vote.

IMO- Beck set it up to nail Medina against the wall. Glen Beck was and still is in the Perry camp after all.

For a women like Medina to come out of nowhere against the Perry machine and the Bush backed KBH was amazing.

When they come out of nowhere they aren't carrying any baggag...and that is initially to their advantage, IMO.

You can’t question or express doubt or any confusion 9/11 and expect to be taken seriously by anyone outside of a few small areas (Berkley etc).

It is a setup question as much as “do you rape babies before you BBQ or do you wait till after?”

Anyone who doesn’t immediately either:
a)recoil in horror/disgust at the question
b)say I don’t rape babies!
c)punch Glenn Beck
d)all of the above

has no business in politics at the state level.

Especially in Texas.
