Former President Bill Clinton blasted the Tea Party and the Republicans while answering questions for leftists bloggers. The MSM never reported this, but Clinton met with some liberal bloggers during his annual Global Initiatives meeting in New York City a few days ago. One of the bloggers, from a site I will not mention, asked Bill a question about Rick Perry's comment that Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme. He also asked what he thought of the economic philosophy of those who align themselves with the Tea Party. It seems that Clinton blamed the Tea Party for not basing their philosophy on facts by telling the blogger:
You can stand up and say anything and nobody rings a bell if the facts are wrong. There's no bell ringing. It's crazy, we're living in a time when it's more important than ever to know things. And not just to know facts but to put them in a coherent. sensible pattern. And we live in a time, if you just want to talk about the economy, where the model that works for economic growth and prosperity is cooperation. But the model that works in politics is conflict.
Clinton Also attacked the Republicans argument that the government is spending too money and needs some dramatic cuts. Clinton went on to tell the bloggers that the most economicly prosperous areas of the United States are places that look nothing like the anti-government ideal of the Tea Party crowd:
You know, there's not a single solitary example on the planet, not one, of a country that is succesful because the economy has triumphed over the government and choked it off and driven the tax rates to zero, driven the regulations to nonexistent and abolished all government programs, except for defense, so people in my income group never have to pay a nickel to see a cow jump over the moon. There is no example of a succesful country that looks like that.
Clinton's respose to the guys question is just another of the trillion's of reasons the Democrat party is going down in flames with Obama next year. They keep belittling and attacking the members and the philosophy of the Tea Party movement, and it keeps on back firing on them big time. This is why they are in trouble with a capital "T". They just don't get it, they want to win over the independants, but the independants philisophically agree with those of us who make up the Tea Party movement. The Americans are so fed up with the left (finally) that even Greenbereg's Liberal Democracy Corps Poll realeased last week, shows that the Democrats are looking at a bigger defeat next year than they experianced in 2010. It is looking so bad for them, I saw the fat lady warming up already.

Both the Bamster and Clintoon routinely use the oldest trick in the book to defend the Democrats’ undefendable policies: the straw man argument. Describe a stupid, extreme position. Attribute that position to your opponent, who never said that to begin with. Defeat that position. Claim you just defeated your opponent. The Dims do this over and over and over again, and the Drive-By Media soaks it up as if it were legitimate.

Certainly Clinton’s cooperation with sleaze in China created prosperity there, not to mention a light speed jump in technology.
His forced cooperation with the Republican Congress of 1994 saved his butt over here. Had it not been for the Republican Congress, Clinton would have been a one term blunder, even without the impeachment. As it was, his buddy Ross Perot went to his rescue. Now he’s the darling of the left whose only virtue is that he is getting too old to rape women.
Big governments are havens for thieves like Clinton, and he knows that many countries have failed because government triumphed over economy, but he could care less.
And the cigar communist propagandizes more.
Poor Obama, he needs to get Bill Clinton to do his homework for him.

Or did you not know that from 1789 until 1913 the government of the United States subsisted on a low and simple ad valorum tariff on articles of manufacture -- an entirely voluntary consumption tax that, by design, could be avoided entirely by buying products made by fellow Americans?
First the 'big government' types manipulated that system until it no longer served the country but special interests. They introduced all kinds of perversions to favor this or that industry or constituency. Then they created the mother of all special interest systems, the progressive income tax.
Actually, the United States is an example of a country where government took much longer than the average for government to triumph over the economy. So, unlike most nations, it enjoyed a brief period of prosperity and lived on it quite well for some while, before eventually government rose up to choke it off.
I don't know that it's ever been tried. What we do know for sure, though, is that when government triumphs over the economy, people suffer on a massive scale.
True. The US did not tax income for many years. It was property that was taxed by the early colonies and states as it was property that produced income. Later, intangible assets such as stocks and dividends were taxed.
Bill Clinton knows zip about this country. He knows a lot about England from his Rhodes days.
He was an accomplished liar by the age of 22 or so, as he had lied time and time again to the AF LTC to avoid military service.
