At least we know that Christmas is coming. Whether we get the present we want is another matter.

I have heard contradicting reports on Utah, also was mentioned somewhere that Michigan had a mid Oct date.

But on the Utah deadline, for sure Mittens probably picks that up in the primary, The Osmonds are all on board for Mitt.

So she could just skip the Utah thing altogether I guess.

To be fair to the electorate I think it’s time she declare one way or another.... Keeping too many Cain supporters from making a commitment to him because she MIGHT run.

I'm in no hurry to jump on anyone else's bandwagon. As for Cain, he is yet to be fully vetted.

I believe she has made her decision to run sometime ago but just feels that she has to wait for the perfect timing, also the element of surprise is what her team is looking for, much like how we found out that Sarah was the VP, after the media all bought in to TPAW.

Do not know where to start..the lies in this article are just too much.

You are dead right on the polls!

Cain would be fine as a VP, but to have Palin on the bottom of any ticket...sorry I just find offensive, totally beneath Sarah at this point

Then you have a happy surprise coming.

She's not a conventional candidate.

If she's ran a conventional campaign the ruling-class RINOs would have disposed of her already.

She's not one of them.

I should have added, I did look up Iowa and New Hampshire.

NH is: The filing period will be between the first Monday in November and the third Friday in November.

IA is in 2012.

Iowa caucus has NO filing deadline. There is no printed ballot. We can choose any person we want. We talk and discuss and team up until one potential candidate has the most supporters in their corner of the room.

Isn’t Saturday the deadline for state parties to file their primary dates with the RNC. If Florida moves its primary date up, as reported, and other state parties may do likewise, will not this put organizational pressures on Palin? Matters such as fund raising, putting together a team of advisors and the all important staff will become even pressing because of time constraints.

I'll vote 3rd party for sure.

You really want an Obama second term? Because that is what a 3rd party of any size will get you.

Since South Carolina has not set a date for their primary election, they don’t have a date for the filing deadline.

The problem with that belief is that, in order to believe it, you also have to believe that Palin is a serial liar, because she has consistantly and publicly said that she has NOT made a decision yet, and that she is still thinking about it.

Sure, it COULD be a political strategy, but I don't think of Sarah Palin as someone who would lie for politics. I think more highly of her than that. So I choose to take her at her word that she has NOT made a decision yet.

Since we caucus here in Iowa there is no primary for President. Their names won’t be on the ballot. She could literally announce the day of the caucus and she’d be good, cuz most ‘ballots’ are just slips of paper people write their names on.

That’s the Dems. The Republicans in Iowa just write their name on the ballot. It is a pure straw poll.

Gov. Palin is not the type of person to lead her supporters on , and then pull out the rug out from underneath us. Believe me. Bob

I just found out that each precinct may use different methods. Our Republican ballots do not have names on them, though. They are blank pieces of paper. So I can vote for anyone I want. I live in a ‘village’ so only 25 people will show up - that is probably why we sit around Democrat-style and try to change each others’ minds. Also, in some other smaller precincts, a shove of hands may be used. But, you are correct that, in general, Democrats openly talk to each other and try to get supporters to join their group, while Republicans vote by secret ballot.
