A mother and son were killed in Ciudad Juárez over the weekend when the SUV they were riding in was sprayed with assault-rifle fire, according to the El Paso Times.

The U.S. citizens were among four people killed in an attack on a blue Dodge Durango with Texas plates in Ciudad Juárez on Friday evening.

The U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juárez has confirmed that two of the dead were identified as Pablo Noe Williams, 19, and his mother Rosa Williams, 35 - both are listed as being from Kansas.

“they were riding in was sprayed with assault-rifle fire”

Just cut to the chase, ask Holder if these were fast and furious guns.

The USG may have supplied the weapon.

And that is yet one more thing that enrages me about this current regime.

I am not in any way/manner or form blaming the poor victims but why did they go there? Isn’t it the murder capital of Mexico? I hear people talking about vacationing in Mexico and think, “Why would you risk it?” Mexico isn’t safe at all!

Hmmm...American by marriage, perhaps? She was 15 when she had the kid. (Not to diminish an attack on Americans...but they could have been visiting family in Mexico.)

These were not Holder’s people, so it doesn’t matter.

The major drug cartel in Juarez is La Linea (Juarez Cartel), big part of their makeup is former police officers.

Juarez had 53 murdered in 3 days in feb.
3111 were killed in Juarez 2010. (that’s more than the number of civilians or US personell killed in Afghanistan that year)

When I read the headline I had to wonder what any sane American is doing in Mexico ... especially there... then I read the names.. The U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juárez has confirmed that two of the dead were identified as Pablo Noe Williams, 19, and his mother Rosa Williams, 35 -

Why anyone would go to visit a Mexican border town right now is beyond me. I was in Juarez about 40 years or so ago, and even then it was a bit scary, although I enjoyed it. Would never go today, as I value my life.

The USG may have supplied the weapon.

The executive branch may have supplied the weapon. Fast & Furious certainly provided the motivation. Everybody in Mexico knows the story by now. Paybacks a beeitch.

Why did they go there ...

They might have been visiting family there.

By virtue of living where we do, my kids and I have Hispanic friends who have talked about Mexico getting scarier and scarier. One friend reported being afraid to drive at night, being afraid to drive out to her grandparents’ farm; one of the kids’ friends said when they go to visit grandparents in Mexico they travel far out of their way to avoid trouble spots and the kids can’t ride their horses out of sight of the ranch house.

Worse, when I think about our own people getting murdered, I get just about mad enough to spit.

We ought to start writing our congress-critters and encourage them to demand answers.

This gunwalker crap just isn’t right, on so many levels.

It’s unjust, unAmerican, unrighteous ...
