Q&A with Palin Advisor-Turned-Novelist Nicolle Wallace
Tume entertainment ^ | October 5, 2011 | Claire Suddath

Nicolle Wallace knows her politics. She served as White House communications chief under George W. Bush and also worked as a senior advisor on the McCain-Palin 2008 campaign. Her second novel, It's Classified, explores what would happen if a woman were plucked from relative obscurity and elected Vice President of the United States — only to find herself completely unprepared for the job. Wallace talked to TIME about the problem with likable politicians, why everyone in the White House eats constantly and her character's obvious similarity to Sarah Palin.

This novel reads like a lighthearted novel for people interested in politics, but it's also a pretty big indictment of how the political process works. Where were you going for with this book?

I was very much inspired by the things that I'd seen and done in politics, but I was also desperate for a complete departure from the reality of my political experience. It's Classified and my previous book Eighteen Acres are both works of fiction, but if they do seem realistic, it's by design.

In the book, the vice presidential character, Tara Meyers, is completely unfit for her job.

The idea of a mentally ill vice president who suffers in complete isolation was obviously sparked by the behaviors I witnessed by Sarah Palin. What if somebody who was ill-equipped for the office were to ascend to the presidency or vice presidency? What would they do? How long would it take for people to figure it out? I became consumed by this question.

Well, I think Claire and her old boss themselves were "ill-equipped" to run a presidential campaign, and that they were a couple of back-stabbing RINOs. She can shove her book up . . .

The author conveniently forgets (and would like her potential readers, of which I am NOT one) to forget that McCain’s campaign was going nowhere until Palin electrified the Republican convention. This is typical of many of the apparatchiks who worked for the Bushes, father and son and other “establishment” Republicans who really are not much different from the establishment Democrats. The Bush staffers would have been nowhere politically but for Ronald Reagan (THE president) but who just can’t resist privately the opportunity to ingratiate themsleves in some small way with the intelligentsia/media by whispering about what a cretin Reagan was.

Wallace is the lowest of the low. A true vermin, who peddled lies and backstabbed the McCain ticket she was working for, to curry favor with the elitist slime in the media. I mentioned yesterday that I’d bet my bottom dollar that she voted for Obama when she got into the booth. A real skank of a woman.

“She served as White House communications chief under George W. Bush and also worked as a senior advisor on the McCain-Palin 2008 campaign.”

Two of the greatest failures of the last 20 years were the communications, and lack thereof, form the Bush Administration and the incompetent management of the McCain campaign.

The Bush Administration repeatedly shot themselves in the foot when it came to communicating with the American people and dealing with the media. Throughout his administration they were constantly attacked. They refused or were incapable of defending themselves or getting their message across.

The McCain campaign was one screw up after another and ended in humiliating defeat. It was characterized by internal turmoil, damaging insider leaks to the media and constant infighting. I can't imagine anyone doing a worse job.

Now this makes Ms. Wallace a supposed expert. So she uses her supposed expertise to write fiction attacking Sarah Palin.

What is? I think you’re referring to McCain, he has been thought of as being dead for years. Who care who Nicolle or he endorses? Now Palin’s endorsement . . .

"Palin advisor"? More like 'Palin detractor'. She might have been assigned to assist Sarah Palin during John McCain's campaign, but I can't see how she either advised or helped Sarah. I believe it was Nicole's idea to do all that shopping for the Palin family, then gave the info to the MSM which screamed about it for the rest of the campaign. It was also Nicole and her buds who started the process of throwing Sarah under the campaign bus even BEFORE the election!

Nicole has absolutely NOTHING to do with Sarah's success, in fact, Sarah has blossomed IN SPITE of anything Nicole might have done for, or to her.

Nicolle Wallace knows her politics. She served as White House paid designated liar under George W. Bush.

There, fixed it. Dana Perino was another paid designated liar for Bush. Jay Carney is the paid designated liar for Obama.

None of these paid designated liars know anything about the truth or facts, they all just spew the lies as they are told to do.
