Fresh on the heels of announcements by Chris Christie and Sarah Palin that they were not running for President, members of the media panicked while waiting for Rudy Giuliani to decide.
Then it happened. Amanda Knox came to the microphone. She held a tearful press conference, where she did not announce that she was running for President.
Given this late stage of the game, she would have said something if she was. She also failed to mention what she thought of Casey Anthony as a potential running mate, and if they would be willing to enjoy drug fueled sex orgies in the White House if they got elected.
Mass suicides are planned for members of the media. After all, nature abhors a vacuum and nowhere is there a larger vacuum than in the skulls of journalists.
Yes it is tragic that innocent people were murdered by somebody. Yet for the media the real true shame in all of this is that they will have a much tougher time turning America into a nation of imbeciles once the presidential race starts heating up. Horror of horrors, the media will be forced to discuss...issues.
This is a disaster for them. Policy is boring. It requires learning and discussing matters of substance.
For those truly concerned with whether a pair of hot bad girls did bad stuff and looked hot doing it, please stop breathing immediately. Oxygen is a finite resource. So until

She stabbed us in the back. Its all over, we’re doomed. She led us on.....
Well, if she was, she’d be Babe-raham Lincoln.
Not Guilty.
And all of you prove the folly of the author’s assertion...to our ultimate demise.
But then it's the MSM, so I'm SOL.
I catch the joke, however forgive me if I add this....Amanda Knox is totally 100% innocent of all the charges against her. So I understand that the writer is using humor... but totally unfair to make jokes about Amanda Knox after the ordeal she has been through.
Yes I hear ya saying...get a life or something, but that is not funny at all
Sarah Palin or bust
Note: I wanted SP to run... very disappointing! But still find this quite amusing... thanks for the post.
She reminds me of Alexandra Moltke, of Dark Shadows (and Claus von Bulow) fame.

“next time I kill someone, it sure won’t be in Italy...”
“Horror of horrors, the media will be forced to discuss...issues.”
Why would this happen? Will there be no polls, to report on like horse races? Will there be no “gotcha” questions, or gaffs? Will there be no bimbo eruptions? Are there no race cards left to play? Things would have to get awfully bleak, before the media is forced to discuss issues.
I think she is innocent - but I get annoyed by the the media giving special attention to the “pretty people” that are in trouble, missing, kidnapped or murdered. If she were homely, the story would have never left the pages of the Seattle Times.
agreed
Rest easy, though. I have it on good authority that she’s going to be The King Maker and her boy friend will research the candidates and let us know who to support.....
“With those crazy eyes, she’s more likely to be found lurking around a school book depository”
Even granting the injustice of photographic isolation of moments in the lives of eyes, hers don’t look particularly crazy to me.
“I get annoyed by the the media giving special attention to the ‘pretty people’ that are in trouble”
Why the scare quotes? Are you implying she isn’t pretty?
