The anti-greed protesters plan to invade Washington Square Park today, putting them toe-to-toe with cops ready to enforce a curfew.
Occupy Wall Street organizers told The Post they'll set up a second outpost there, in addition to Zuccotti Park, where protests started Sept. 16.
“We are just expanding,” said group spokesman Patrick Bruner, adding there were no immediate plans of testing a 1 a.m. curfew.
But another organizer, Justine Tunney, 26, was more blunt.
“We plan to stay in Washington Square Park and form a second permanent occupation,” she said. 'Occupy Wall Street' protestors are moving to Washington Square Park -- and some are vowing to defy police orders and sleep there.

Right in the middle of NYU. I don’t know how things are now, but Washington Square Park was always a combination of mothers with strollers, hippies hanging out, tourists, students crossing from one class to another, and drug pedlars with established sites for selling their goods.
I suspect one intention will be to involve liberal NYU students in the protests, more cannon fodder for the cause.
Just a matter of time before one of these “occupations” turn ugly.
“Anti-greed protesters” my @$$. What are they protesting about? From what I’ve seen, they want the taxpayers to pay for THEIR “master’s degrees”. Why did they think they needed a “master’s degree”? TOO MAKE LOTS OF MONEY!!! Geesh! This isn’t rocket science. These bass turds are just PO’d that they haven’t made their first million yet.
They belong on the WH lawn.
They are so hoping to get their "Kent State" moment to propel them into the big time.

Why don’t they go to Lafayette Square across from the White House?

Or maybe Obama would let them in a few at the time to use the bathroom so they don’t have to do it on cop cars?

We have those same protestors here in LA..they showed them yesterday on the news, a bunch of filthy hippies who have no lives..damn hippies

I was there over the past summer (daughter/son in law lived a block away from Wash Sq). It was pretty much what you describe, with one exception, timed to my arrival on the day ‘same sex marriage’ became legal in NYS. Many the bride and bride, or groom and groom, did we see. Also, some very talented street musicians.
You have to wonder at what point NYU students who are paying tuition thru the nose are inclined to support this disruption? Are they paying out all that money so they don’t achieve career/financial success afterwards? For the most part they had to be achievers to be admitted to NYU.
