Texas filed a legal document in support of the AZ law challenged by the federal courts. But it’s a law for Arizona.
Most of these students attend community colleges and they represent a small portion of the total 1,700,000 student enrollment of universities here in Texas.
The Feds made the rules, won’t seal the border, won’t apply the laws, tied the states hands, left us to deal with it. So we’re dealing with it. Having these few PAY instate tuition after 3 years in Texas schools, applying for citizenship, graduated and getting more education makes them better Texas residents — that works for Texas.
Wow!
How about deporting them and their parents back to Mexico and have them get to the end of the legal line?
Crime does pay and far worth the risk and money to immigrate illegally to Texas.
If you want to subsidize the education of illegal immigrants that’s your prerogative. I only insist you cut it out of your own checkbook, and don’t vote for politicians who force everyone to with our tax dollars. Thanks.

true. but somewhat misleading?
Perry said he personally did NOT approve of the AZ law,
and that a similar law would not be good for Texas.
...i think a lot of Texans disagree with him on that.
Perry is good for business, good for jobs creation, good for many things!!!
But, Perry could have done a LOT more, to secure the border and reduce the burden on LEGAL taxpayers, from ILLEGAL immigrants.
and, do we need a President who is simply going to blame others, for what he made at best a token effort to do, while he was appeasing La Raza?
We already have a President who does that.
