Perhaps Levin and McCain should consider making cost savings in the entirety of Congress as it directly relates to their own pay, health insurance, pensions, etc. first..... =.=

Hell, no. I will vote against any politician who does not support full payment of the agreement made to the US military regarding the repayment of what was always described as deferred pay and benefits.
Republican, Dem, Libertarian, etc. - if you go against the veterans or the retirees I will not support you.

...some of President Barack Obamas proposed changes to health and retirement benefits for the military. Look for the maggots down at the AARP to start running TV ads making it sound like it is ONLY the Republicans who are doing this.

We have way too much incompetent and careless government.
They are sooooo out of touch with reality. The Beltway is the logic-free zone!

Why don’t these pos senators lead by example by slashing Senators and Reps pay, benefits, and pensions first before they go after anything else.

“The Pentagons health care costs have skyrocketed from $19 billion in 2001 to $53 billion...”
I wonder how much of that goes to helping our service members who’ve had limbs blown off or burns over 75% of their body.
I guess a dead soldier is cheaper than a wounded one.
JERKS.
THEY sent our guys to war. THEY put them in harms way.
Now THEY don’t want to pay for it.
Yeah, McCain is really all about supporting our troops...
WHAT A JERK.

So to all those who lectured us on respecting McCain's service as a primary reason for his re-election,
(insert favorite raspberry sound clip here)
And with the predicted flaming arrows headed my way for doing so, ITS AN ANOLOGY! Deal with it.
I respect his service at the time but I prefer to evaluate a man for his overall qualifications as I would to someone like Benedict Arnold who himself was a decorated war hero before embarking on his desire for "seven pieces of silver".
From the beginning, and even before, of his 2008 candidacy, this hero has been the gift that keeps giving to the Obama administration.

I’m open to changes to the congressional medical plans. Let them have the same plan we have!

Great. After they’re done, even FEWER physicians will take Tricare than do already. I already have to drive 30 miles to see my primary care provider and he’s told me he loses $$ on Tricare patients. Only does it out of a sense of patriotism — G-d bless him.

TriCare is fairly well-run, better than Medicare for return-on-investment. The VA hospital/healthcare network, not so much.

What kind of person who call himself an American would even suggest cutting medical for the military while they are handing out free medical to illegals and able bodied moochers by the millions.
I know of quite a few able bodied young men and women who have connived their way on to disability and free medical because of overeating, drugs, alcohol, “bad back”, etc.

Today I read what racebater jackson junior had to say about the congress not obeying the president. I have been watching the mob tear up different cities and wondering when the rule of law would be applied to them.
Now I read this BS. I am retired military. To be more precise I am a retired disabled vet. I was involved in every pissing contest from Nam to Mogadishu.
The liberals really need to step back and remember a few facts first among them that all of us retired military folks have been well trained in the arts of war.
Several generations of veterans fought against Socialism and now we have one of them as president and a lot of the pukes in our congress. I guess we didn't do a good enough job or maybe that job just isn't finished yet.
This week the word came out that our traitor in chief just sent a hundred special forces troops to Africa to hunt down and kill Christians in support of muslim fanatics and murderers.
When TSHTF and they come for us vets, they will need a lot more than local law enforcement to deal with us.
I served my time under a contract that clearly defined my retirement and medical coverage. Now these F-heads want to change it.
The day they try this one is the day TSHTF. There are many millions of us vets who are up for another round or two. So Be It!

Better way to save money, only pay elected thieves for work performed that also save money.
T he down side would be the soup lines needed for these elected thieves.

No matter what they save in conventional health care, they’re going to lose in coverage of AIDS related diseases.
Bet the farm on it.
