Four Things We've Learned About Herman Cain This Weekend
NY Magazine ^ | Oct 16, 2011 | NY Mag Editorial

Cain's Gruesome (and Supposedly Humorous) Solutions for Illegal Immigration: At campaign stops in Tennessee yesterday, Cain put forward two separate plans for tackling the nation's immigration problem: An electrified fence along the border that would stop short the life of anyone trying to slip into the country illegally, and re-equipping border forces "with real guns and real bullets." This morning on Meet the Press he responded to the (unsurprising and immediate) backlash to his electric fence remarks, saying: "That's a joke. That's not a serious plan. I've also said America needs to get a sense of humor."

Cain's Brainstorming Process: "I think of this stuff as I go," Cain told Newsweek in this week's cover story. "My messages are spontaneous."

Post all the liberal hit pieces you want but they will not help La Raza Rick Perry overcome the damage he has done to his own campaign.

It’s something Rick Perry won’t have to worry about on election night, because he won’t be in the race.

I guess that NY Magazine is unfamiliar with the term “humor”.

Unemployed Democrats will flock to Cain. He has a very positive message.

That it's their fault they're unemployed? Oh I know he backtracked a bit on that and came up with a "what I REALLY meant was..." soundbite, but guaranteed that the Democrats will plaster the original quote all over their ads if Cain is the nominee.

"How do you think all this would play in the general election?"

In the primaries those that want border security will vote for Cain, those that want talk will vote for Romney, those that want illegal aliens educated on the taxpayers dime will vote for Perry.

In the general election Cain will beat the bummer like an old rug.

Was that heartless?

Herman Cain is a joke.

He says the most outrageous stuff and when he gets called on it he just waves his hand and says “I’m done talkin about that” or “That was a joke”

His charm is wearing thin with me.

Consider the source of both the article and the liberal who posted it.

They know the Perry campaign is a train wreck so they attack the only man standing between Mitt Romney and the Republican nomination. You're right, that is disgusting.

"Unemployed Democrats will flock to Cain. He has a very positive message."

You hit the nail on the head. The only people upset by this are the media, dems and elitists. To Tea Party conservatives this is red meat. Cain sounds just like us. It is wonderfully refreshing, the people love it, and the dems and other members of the PC-loving crowd are falling all over themselves in terror.

Perfect!

"overcome the damage he has done to his own campaign."

You don't think that the idea of frying Mexicans will hurt Cain's campaign? I can see how Perry hurt himself, but if you don't think this hurts Cain your're in denial.

"That's a joke. That's not a serious plan. I've also said America needs to get a sense of humor."

It's not a very funny joke and shows a complete lack of understanding of what is happening on our border. The illegals coming into our country are running from Narco-Terrorist who are killing them by the thousands and he thinks it's funny to say we should kill them first?

You want to stop the flood of illegals coming across our border then you have to kill the Narco-Terrorist and the Corrupt Mexican Military Units who invade our country daily without so much as a look from our Federal Government who has a Constitutional Duty to Protect us and the Sovereignty of the United States.

Moderate Mitt Conservative Of Convenience

Hello everyone, my name is Mitt Romney and I have the best hair, teeth, and speeches that money can buy. I'm not too liberal and I'm not too conservative. I'm just right because I won't take a position that will offend anyone. Nor do I believe Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. It's legal because it's run by the federal government. Please don't tell anymore people I signed Romney care into law in Massachusetts.
