whoever “taught” her to shoot for the knee ...should be shot in the knee.
Well, maybe, just maybe she didn’t have it in her heart to want to kill anyone. Maybe thats why she was trained to shoot for the knee.Yes, I would have aimed at the chest or head, especialy since most strolers are about knee level.
I think that you both are getting too hyper and depending upon what may be bad reporting. The story says that the robber "grabbed a stroller that held Easterly’s [year old] baby" and was going out the door. Perhaps the knee was the clearest target and that she was taught to aim at the clearest unobstructed target?
In my opinion she practiced good gun control, she put the shot where she aimed at a moment of maximum stress! Kudos and blessing to this lady and her family!
Noting the type of stroller in the picture he might have picked up the stroller to run with it out the door. I used to pick up that type of stroller and carry it through some types of doors and passageways and it is a lot faster than pushing it. If that were the case, shooting center mass might have hit the child. Whatever the case, she hit what she aimed at, brought him down and he bled out with no harm to the child. A happy ending.
My guess is she was taught to aim for the heart but say she was aiming for the knee.
