Report: Under Obamacare, less-skilled workers will be most likely to be priced out of jobs

The employer premiums for a single plan, distributed across a full-time work year, will add $1.79 per hour to these labor costs. The premiums for a family plan will add $5.51 per hour. Nationwide minimum labor costs will rise to an average of $10.03 per hour for full-time workers with a single health plan and $13.75 per hour for workers with family coverage.

Moderately and highly skilled workers already cost more than this minimum to employ. Their employers will likely respond to the law by spending more on health benefits and reducing wages by a corresponding amount. The health care law will not increase their total compensation costs.

But it is an entirely different story for unskilled workers. Employers cannot reduce cash pay below the minimum wage. However, employers will not pay workers more than their productivity. No businesses will pay $14 per hour to employ a worker whose labor raises earnings by just $9 per hour. Businesses that pay workers more than their productivity quickly go out of business. …

Obamacare hurts less skilled workers. It raises the minimum productivity required for them to hold a full-time job, particularly workers with families. Workers who cannot produce at least $20,000 per year (single plan) or $27,500 per year (family plan) of value to employers will have serious difficulty finding full-time jobs. Many of these workers will have to either live off reduced income from part-time hours or juggle the schedules of multiple part-time jobs.

Poverty redistribution seemed like a good idea at the time, but now that Obama has been so wildly successful at it, some people are starting to say, “Hey, I didn’t want to be poor.”

Your average Freeper figured this out (as well as all the other problems with Obamacare) well before they passed it.

As is normal with liberal policies, they will hurt the very people they claim to protect. The law of unintended consequences is in full display.

An employer will always opt for the least expensive way forward. Older workers, skilled and experienced, will be retained because they present the highest value for the dollars spent. New, younger workers, with no skills or experience will be passed over for hiring in new jobs, though they would cost less, eventually will end up costing more.....

Obama”care” was robo-signed by Congress, and is therefore illegal.

Obama”care” reduces competition, and therefore is illegal by the 1890 Sherman Anti-Trust Law. Obama”care” is designed to be a US Federal Government monopoly, with no competition.

Obama”care” also is illegal according to the US Constitution, because it violates our freedom of choice.

Will THE NINE SUPREMES notice any of these three violations? I seriously doubt it.

Impeached Bill Clinton proved that the US President is above US Federal Law, so anything that the President wants he gets, regardless of the Federal Laws that he has violated.

Remember that mandate that dependents would be covered to age 26 under the employer’s plan? Well, that is happening. Except....employers are reducing their contributions for dependents (including spouses) from anywhere from half to 100%. So, the employee can still cover them under the employer’s plan—except that now he is responsible for 100%.

Oops—guess you can’t get something for nothing after all.

I believe Obama once said: In order for other countries to raise their standard of living, we (Americans) must lower ours. The Socialist Elite, with Obama as their mouthpiece, want to drive the wealth out of our country. The Socialist Elite can’t stand our Constitution our freedoms, the fact that any hick can become wealthy and if you don’t like your job you we can work for someone else.

I include Rockefeller Republicans as part of the socialist elite.

What the useful idiots don’t understand is that most of their standard of living will go down. And that will make everyone say “To hell with it. I’m not working.” Then the socialists no longer have the money to give away. Unfortunately, the country will be beyond repair by the time they figure it out.

This was part of the plan all along.

Democrats want to make as many people dependent upon the Government as possible and to make a majority of the voters totally beholden to the Democrat party for government handouts to provide for all aspects of their their existence.
