I keep saying that Romney will lose to Obama. Here it is.
Mitt Romney's nomination to the GOP candidacy would depress the base by 48%. This is huge. How can Romney win with half of his base gone just like *snaps fingers* that?

If Mittins is the nominee, 0bama will get a 2nd term because conservatives won't vote for a liberal hack no matter who it is.
Conservatives are principled.

I’m one of them. In a contest between Romney and Obama, I will definitely vote for Romney. A third party candidate would hand victory to Obama and accomplish nothing else.

Well, I guess the question is, how much of the GOP is made up of the Tea Party? If Romney gets 85% of the GOP votes, and 50% of the Tea Party votes, will that be enough to beat Obama? I don’t know.
I know I’m one of the 48%. I will not vote for Romney. I believe he will do more damage than Obama. At least if Obama is President the GOP Senators and Reps act like Republicans. They won’t do that if Romney is President.

I will NEVER vote for socialist mittcare romney. Even if Cain debases and humiliates himself by taking the Veep slot, I will NOT support that socialist scumbag romney.

The
"LAME Stream Media" keeps selling horse hockey, but the base ain't buyin'!!!
There's no way in hell I can compromise my values.
Jack Kerwick wrote an article on May 24, 2011 titled
The Tea Partier versus The Republican and he expressed some important issues that I agree with.
(excerpt)
... It may be worth it, the Tea Partier can tell Republicans, for the GOP to lose some elections if it means that conservativesand the countrywill ultimately win.
If he didnt know it before, the Tea Partier now knows that accepting short-term loss in exchange for long-term gain is the essence of compromise, the essence of politics.
Ironically, he can thank the Republican for impressing this so indelibly upon him.
I'm fresh out of
"patience", and I'm not in the mood for
"compromise".
"COMPROMISE" to me is a dirty word.
Let the
RINO's compromise their values, with the conservatives, for a change.
The "Establishment Republicans" can go to hell!

If Mitt is the nominee, I will vote for him.
On abortion, he said that he was wrong in the past. I can accept a man admitting that he was wrong.
On his healthcare bill in Mass, he had no choice. It was all the work of the liberals in the state legislature. He vetoed a lot of what was sent to him but he basically had no choice because he was in the most liberal state in the union.
I didn’t think much of Mitt before but I’ve talked to conservatives in Mass so I now have a better understanding of his history. I am okay with him now. Mitt was about as conservative as you could be in a state like Mass. ROMNEY IS STILL NOT MY TOP CHOICE BUT I’LL SUPPORT HIM 100% IF HE’S THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE.
If the “Tea Party Nation” doesn’t support Romney if he’s the nominee, they can all kiss my #$#^. The “Tea Party Express” had a similar attitude and got us 6 more years of Harry Reid. They cost us Delaware’s senate seat. I can name a few others but I am not going to waste my time.
Instead of pouting about not getting 100% of what I want, I’d rather get 75% than 0 (0=obama). I am going to support this nation by voting against obama.

I have thought about this and have concluded that I would vote for Romney if he is the nominee.
OTOH, I would vote for Mishka "The I Love You" Dog if she were the nominee, as well.
In fact, if Mishka "The I Love You" Dog came down with rabies and bit me on my weenie, I would still vote for Mishka "The I Love You" Dog if she were the nominee.
0 must go.
But let's see if we can keep Romney from being the nominee.

I guess if it comes to obama vs. romney, you don’t really have much of a choice. If you vote for romney, all you will get is obama’s alter ego. Two sides to the same coin they are. If you’re really unlucky, obama gets re-elected, and makes romney his VP, or vise-versa.

Sounds as if whoever is behind this poll is a Romney shill.
This principled and informed conservative will never vote for Romney, nor any other RINO.
The better to live with my own conscience.
