Hume chalked the Cain phenomenon up to a combination of Romney not giving a lot of confidence to conservative Republican voters and Cain’s ability to use the Republican debates to his advantage.......................Hume, Rove, and BOR can all got to hell.

Herman’s not following establishment rules, and it’s driving them crazy.

“That’s another odd thing to say,” Hume said. “Look, if you’re running for president you don’t want to get into a fight with Karl Rove. That makes no sense.

Inside the Beltway types don't realize that conservatives have been battling Rove for years. We WANT someone who will tell Porky where to shove his RINO amnesty-loving agenda.

What’s up with Hume? He used to be a sensible, stand-up guy.

... except that its sheer oddness means it is getting played right here on Fox.

Free publicity. Sure beats fund raising ;-)

The reason Hume doesn’t understand the attack on Rove is because Hume obviously doesn’t understand what Rove stands for, and what Rove represents to conservatives.

And that means that Hume is so far out of touch with conservative reality he might as well be out there in orbit around Saturn somewhere.

As for the back-and-forth Cain has had with Rove, Hume said that was ill-advised and cautioned against giving too much credence to a recent CBS News/New York Times poll that gave Cain a four-point edge over former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and a 15-point edge over former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich........................I guess the only polls that matter are the ones that show Mitt is ahead...too bad there aren't any.

Attacks on Tokyo Rove are always justified, and it is customary to slaughter hogs in the fall anyway.

Haah... how funny... its all about getting folks to check out the ad, with a not so subliminal message touting personal freedom, slapping down political correctness... I love it!!

I listened Hume last night on O'Reily. I was very disappointed and it is obvious that Hume is just like all of the other media elites. They check their integrity and honesty at the door when entering the profession.

Cain isn't one of the media elite annointed ones and therefore, is readily dismissed.

You know, if he were a conventional candidate he would be campaigning in Iowa and New Hampshire and working feverishly to raise money to do so.

I'd have to agree with Hume here. Party zealots will obviously have heard of Cain and many will vote for him in the primaries. But what about the primary voters who aren't really that engaged? Without the money to spend copiously on ads and GOTV drives, it's hard to see how Cain becomes the GOP nominee. The one-man-army model really doesn't work for political campaigns. And what if Cain wins the nomination and continues his quixotic one-man-army campaign against Obama's billion dollar fund, which will buy a massive GOTV drive and wall-to-wall negative ads? It could be a rerun of 2008, when McCain was outspent by Obama 4 to 1. Cain need to get his campaign organization in gear quick.

Britt, you’ve historically been a reasonable icon of sense in the on-air lie-fests with your fellow liberal conspirators. You have a chance here to redeem yourself with a higher Deity. You’d better take it and get right with yourself, son. Don’t trade your ideals for exposure and acquaintanceship with tools of the devil....
