'Herman Cain is not going to be the president of anything'(Says the Serpent head)
IBD Editorial ^ | October 26, 2011 | Andrew Malcom Political News & Commentary

Truth is, James Carville still thinks Hillary Clinton should be president.

But just out of curiousity, what does Bill Clinton's former chief political strategist think of the developing Republican field for 2012? Our pal Scott Hennen, one of the country's top conservative radio talkers, asked Carville just that.

And the pair had a, uh, candid exchange:

HENNEN: Obviously Herman Cain’s faring pretty well right now in the polls, and all along, quite honestly, had the most passionate supporters in this field; a nonpolitician, which has probably served him well, just as an example of the frustration of the conservative Republican electorate out there. What do you think of Herman Cain?

CARVILLE: Herman Cain is not going to be the president of anything.

"Herman Cain goes out and he's got a 999, and it’s 909, and he’s like changing area codes. The guy can’t even figure out what his position on abortion yet, which is kind of a basic issue.

"He gleefully professes ignorance on foreign policy. Again, I’m not, but if I were a person, if I had a conservative world view and I was looking for our next election to have somebody to articulate that view, I would be unbelievably disappointed.

Serpent Head, I thought it was penis with eyes. Of course this clown would say Cain can’’t be president. Only a demorat with absoulutly no practical experience with no previous job experience is qualified to be presiden.

I thought Hillary! was going to win in 08. I didn’t see the Obama fever coming, so my credibility is suspect. But, I was close. Hillary! would have beaten McCain just as soundly as Obama beat him.

Romney can appeal to the independents. He’s safe, he’s acceptable to them. People are beginning to realize that Obama is in over his head.

Romney will win the nomination. Romney will beat Obama in a close election.

And, while many here find that to be akin to swallowing poison, Romney doesn’t hate America. Romney will be night and day better than Obama, (no racist pun intended).

If he were totally ignorant of foreing policy affairs, THAT WOULD STILL PUT HIM AHEAD OF OBAMA. Everything Hussein knows about foreign policy is WRONG.

Mars should beam up James Carville before he has a chance to reproduce.

Poor Carville, things aren’t working out like he expected. Cain will be the next president of the United States, most likely. What is really going to depress Carville, is that Cain will be a great president.

My favorite cartoon reference to Carville was Peter Griffin's reaction to seeing him running his campaign for the School Board (against his wife) a decade ago. "Did somebody open the Ark of the Covenant?"

To his rare credit, I'm all but certain James really believes this rant. I don't, and I saw Obama coming, unlike him, before 2008.

I think Cain can win.

I think maybe Carville should be more concerned about ‘HIMSELF’ in his latest photo he definitely does not look healthy.

The president of the largest Republican county committee in our state just resigned to head up Herman Cain’s campaign in the state of Florida. Apparently some folks have faith in Herman. :)
