In a speech given at the Heritage Foundation Wednesday morning, Paul Ryan said Obamas method of rallying public support for his $447 billion jobs package was sowing social unrest and class resentment and could be just as damaging as his misguided policies, reports Politico.
As Business Insider points out, Paul Ryan used to be the politician that Obama liked to use as an example of the type of policy-minded Republican he could work with. However, the feelings were not reciprocated Wednesday morning when Ryan made it very that he believes the president is stoking an atmosphere of division that is making working together all but impossible.
Instead of working together where we agree, the president has opted for divisive rhetoric and the broken politics of the past, Ryan said before a crowd at The Heritage foundation. He is going from town to town, impugning the motives of Republicans, setting up straw men and scapegoats, and engaging in intellectually lazy arguments, as he tries to build support for punitive tax hikes on job creators.
The budget wonk went on to accuse President Obama of using class-based rhetoric in his re-election campaign, Politico reports. Obamas tactics, Ryan said, make America weaker, not stronger.

That’s what “Community Organizers” do.
Just a fancy phrase for “Rabble Rousers”.
How hard it is for the members of Congress to get a firm grasp on the obvious. Now, just what do they plan to do about it?
Our Kenyan POSOTUS is ever the same community organizer that he was back before he was the useless POSenator from Ill....
About time one of obuttface’s superiors made these statements — Bo is fomenting riots if he doesn’t get his way. Ryan has called out the kenyan phony once again.
Paul, where have you been? Many of us out here know that and have known it for quite sometime—better late than never, I suppose.
I’m Shocked! I’m Shocked I tell you!
(Do I really need a sarc tag?)
‘Sowing social unrest’ was a given and you didn’t have to be a genius to get THIS, while “O” was campaigning.
It angers me that ONLY NOW do Conservatives openly make these observations.
He^%... after the ‘Rev. Wright’ video, who could doubt where “O” was going to take us.
This is the guy who was on tv with some talking head female a few months ago and he stayed with her and did not back down. I liked him then and I like him now. Seems to have courage to say the difficult things.
Not much courage among conservatives so he really stands out.
Ryan is correct. He understands what is necessary to return our nation to its greatness and founding principals. But we have to start the ball rolling by electing more people like him in Congress and a conservative President such as Herman Cain in 2012. Then undo the Obama agenda. The 2010 election was a decent start but the GOP in the senate is still a mess, so all the house can do is oppose the Senate and Obama since we don’t have the majority in the senate and those there are for the most part a joke.
“Not much courage among conservatives so he really stands out.”
Right. The Rinos still own the senate and some others are too afraid to say anything. The few standing up are those backed by the tea party. GOP should have attacked Obama in 08 as a anti-american divider who wants to destroy the capitalist system. But they didn’t. Hence the rise of the tea party.
Obama is a great Divider. He wants to divide the country to create the chaos needed to pass his plans.
‘communist agitator’
The worst part about the rucuss created Obama and his band of fools is the ‘flashbacks’ it’s causing my 90 yo German mother.
‘Corporatism’ causes multiple special interest groups to fight over the crumbs sprinkled by those at the top.
GOP should have attacked Obama in 08 as a anti-american divider who wants to destroy the capitalist system. But they didnt. Hence the rise of the tea party.
I dont know much about him, but if conservatives dont get courage soon, they are going to be decimated. And I don’t mean electorally.
Thread (FReepers) better than Congressman BUMP! Nonetheless, thanks Paul Ryan.
He will reap what he sows................
I just sent a lengthy email to my US rep in response to his newsletter about seeking common ground with the Dems. Maybe if he gets to read it he will wise up. He thinks it was really great that they passed the 3 trade agreements. I had to point out to him that if Obama signed it it can’t be good for America. This guy is supposed to be a conservative. We are doomed.
